I hate when people (dearest paris included) go to something or listen to some band (coldplay cough, cough) and just listen to it because everyone else is doing it, or because they think it's cool to like bands like coldplay...I've got friends that love bands like coldplay, bright eyes, kanye west, beck, ben folds, white stripes, etc....lots of great music and these people listen blindly (deafly?) to the music while completely ignoring the message behind the music (coldplay=make trade fair...bright eyes=get bush outa the office...) because their parents are republicans and are more concerned with building another house in Nantucket than the fact that the 2 million dollars that would buy that house would keep thousands of people alive in africa, or china, or give hundreds and thousands of people homes who are living on the streets of new york city, or actually do something good for the world....
