DIG!

Featured Replies

This thread may well bomb but I recently saw a rockumentry called DIG! which follows the bands The Brain Jamestown Massacre and The Dandy Warhols over seven years, and wondered if anyone else had seen it too...?

The film follows the bands as they bond over their similar ideals regarding the music industry then documents the dimise of their friendship as the Dandy's sign a deal, release a record, build up a fanbase and keep it together whilst BJM slowly implode under the pressure of their extremely unstable frontman Anton Newcombe.

The film is narrated throughout by Courtney Taylor (Dandy Warhols) and is well worth a watch, if only to see the hilarious BJM tamborine man Joel!

Ya, I saw it last year at an indie-ish theatre that is around me. It was great, BJM is crazy, and so is Anton....just out of his mind.

Yeah I saw it at an indie-type theatre too, was quite expensive too, but well worth it. It was fascinating I thought and Anton clearly is insane. And how much did Matt Hollywood look like John Lennon? :stunned:
