thousandhouses
Yep, I'm attending the September 6th show... I'm incredibly excited... MSG says no cameras allowed, but I'm dying to sneak one in! Does anyone have any tips?
ythibodeau
The say no cameras, but during the show, on the screen, they ask for fans to get out their cameras and take pictures... There's a countdown: PREPARE YOUR CAMERAS, PREPARE YOUR CAMERAS, PREPARE YOUR CAMERAS, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.... During "Low"... I went to the Motnreal concert, and might go to the New York show as well... So, MSG can kiss my a**!!

ythibodeau
Well, no cameras will be allowed to COldplay (MSG - NY): I emailed MSG last week and got a reply. Dear Yannick Thibodeau: Thank you for your e-mail to Madison Square Garden's general webmaster regarding the upcoming Coldplay concert performance at Madison Square Garden. We appreciate your taking the time to write. Video cameras, digital cameras, and cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses are not permitted inside MSG at any time. This policy will be strictly enforced. We hope that you find this information helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please contact us at 212-465-6225, any weekday during normal business hours. Once again, we thank you for your correspondence and continued patronage of Madison Square Garden and we hope that you enjoy the show! Sincerely, Alice Paun Guest Relations

thousandhouses
To all the people sneaking cameras in - MSG has metal detectors. I'd really like to sneak in my digital camera since (obviously) higher quality + video - however, I don't want the detectors to go off and then they take my camera away for good. I could then just sneak in a reg. disposable, but what fun is that, with no zoom I'll get nothing. I think we should all call or e-mail MSG and request the use of the cameras as Coldplay personally tells the crowd to use 'em. Come on, it's the artists' wishes! You never know, they might just give us a break.
berrywoman
metal detectors schmectors... I am bringing my camera... I am going to call MSG and ask.. but I don't think they will give us such a hard time.. besides.. they don't pat girls down as much as they do guys.. but I wouldn't want them to snatch my camera either... :embarrased:
berrywoman
here's a link to the rules of conduct for MSG stupid rules and guidelines I think they prohibit professional digital cameras.. (if you don't have a press pass that is) so I think we're ok... well at least I am. They also said no cameras at Radio City when I when to see Interpol.. and people took excellent pictures... ALSO not that my ticket posted on the previous page.. doesnt state "No cameras" on it.. normally it would. :stunned:

Respol
section 5 VS section 222?? Boy ol' boy...9/6 is right around the corner I can't wait. I'm in section 5 row s, I'm a shorty, with everyone standing do you think I'll be able to stand on the chair?? Does MSG allow that? Unless I got a stupid moron in front of me who's sitting through the entire show, chnaces are I won't be able to see a thing....I hope I get one of those in front of me.. In you had the choice between section 5 row S or section 222, what would you pick. I''m asking cause i got tix for both nights..but promised someone i would give up one night. DILEMNA!! halokiti
Same situation as you respol. I'm probably even shorter than you also, 5'1". I have one floor ticket in section 11 row F seat 4, and two section 231 row C tickets both for 9/7/05. which one will I let go of. Maybe the floor seat will be okay since that section is on an incline. Check out a photo of your section: http://www.thegarden.com/seating.html I remember going to the Toronto show a couple years back, the seats were amazing since only 1/3 of the place was used. But two idiots 2 rows in front of us were up shaking their heads like it was a Pearl Jam concert, not that it blocked my view, it was just annoying and out of place. Hopefully there won't be a repeat of that.[/url]
