we had waited outside all day.

chris came right up to me and some other girls when he came back said "so what did you guys want?" jonny was hiding until chris told him to come over.

 

So what did you guys ask for?

I met the band a few times by waiting for them after the shows. Although one time I did see Guy just walking around by people lining up for the show and no one else seemed to recognize him. So I would suggest trying that, but it could be difficult now since they are more well known. My story isn't very exciting but, in 2001 a security guy told fans waiting for the band that Chris would give anyone the shirt off his back. Apparently my friend took that literally and asked him for it! He said if it was any other shirt he would, but it was his favorite one(Flaming Lips t-shirt). He was friendly, talked about music for awhile, and posed for a lot of group pictures. Jonny also signed stuff and was equally as nice. The other time I saw them was after ROBTTH came out and they were in a hurry and obviously there were more people waiting for autographs. I did get a picture with Guy and Jonny though!
