Have you removed your head piece to let your hair and wind play?

Have you made it to the chip shop yet?

Have you gotten your regular booth in the corner to observe the young lads coming in and the old, cobwebby ladies with their pointed noses in the air while tugging in their pets?

Are you nibbling on your breaded fish sticks while dipping your chips in ketchup?

Are you chugging down your water in your fancy pancy plastic cup?

Are you pretending not to see that green-eyed cutie up at the bar looking back at you?

Are you afraid that your cheeks will turn into blossoming cherries or instead fear stepping in turning them into lillies and your lips blue?

Why are you feeling hot and flustered as Mr. Green Eyes approaches?

Are you thinking about future walks on the beach and late midnight smooches?

Why are you starting to stuff your things in your bag as he draws near?

Are you worried that he would easily woo you and whisper sweet sayings in your ear?

Why did your heart skip a beat when he stopped in front of you?

Why did your voice cling to the tip of yourt tongue when he asked, 'How do you do?"

Why is there sweat congregating at the outline of your upper lip?

Is it because as he sat down to join you..his hand brushed by your hip?

Why is there a smile chisled across your face and you walking in a daze?

Is it because of the warmth of that kiss he graced your cheeks with that will linger there for days?

Are you now fulfilled and ridiculously happy..oh little chip shop girl?

I thought I had something to write, but I blanked, sorry. Instead I got an idea, how about we all write a poem together. I write a line and them someone else continues. I could make it a new thread or just start it here. What do you guys think?

Old lady sits in tree

Never comes down..just stares wildly at me

Every morning one my way to school

I feel sorry for sitting up there in her dress of wool

The birds flock all over her

Ignoring her presence hour by hour

Churping, nesting , they move about

I can tell she wants to join in but she is w/ out beak..she has mouth

I beg my daddy to take her down

But acts like I'm asking for pound and crown

I fear for her health now that winter draws near

I want to find warms things for her to wear

My heart aches for that woman w/out name

No one else cares but me and its such a shame..such a shame

I dont think I can sleep through one more night if I still see her perched on that branch in front my bedroom window

Her weary eyes...dying heart..just brings tears to my pillow....
