August 25, 200520 yr i heard that mariah carey is ariving to the VMA awards in a yatch---ha--cant wait to see that in that type of weather :P if i'm lucky--she might not make it..... :sneaky:
August 25, 200520 yr I live on the west coast. This should be just a rain event though. Should be an interesting weekend at least. Good thread Nick ;)
August 25, 200520 yr I wouldnt worry too much about Miami... they will probably get 50mph winds and stuff.. a lot rain defo...but nothing catastrophic.. my family is in Miami too. :(
August 25, 200520 yr Author I hope every thing will be ok with your family Camille. right now where i live were just starting to get rain and some 10 mph winds. thats about the worse it will get probably....
August 25, 200520 yr thanks Nick.. I hope your parents are ok too... I think they'll be ok. Maybe just some wind and rain. :)
August 25, 200520 yr They should be fine Camille ;) They may have lost power though. The news said 400,000 people are without power there.
August 26, 200520 yr Damn FPL... they suck!! I remember during Hurricane Andrew, I was out of power for like a week... it sucked!!!!
August 26, 200520 yr Damn Camille. I didn't know you were there for Andrew :stunned: That was one of the worst hurricanes ever. I had family down there for that and they lost their home :( I'm sure your parents are fine ;)
August 28, 200520 yr :stunned: ohh they have just compared this storm to Hurricane Camille of 1969!! look at her fuckin eye!!! :stunned:
August 28, 200520 yr Author on the news it said if hits some parts of the city could be under 20 ft of water :stunned: :stunned:
August 28, 200520 yr the problem is not the water or the wind--------its the damn trees that keep killing the people--------if all the trees were chopped down----there would be no casualties :idea2: :P
August 28, 200520 yr Author no you dont understand. one of the major problems this time for them will be the water. its possible that a good part of the city will be under 20 ft of water...and a storm surge of like 30-40 feet. thats what is going to be major along with the wind. but thats true with most hurricanes.
August 28, 200520 yr i know---that---i was just messing around---all i see in the news is---a tree killed a man, a tree fell on a woman, a tree........, a tree........... :(
August 29, 200520 yr Author yeah thats true for most storms, but new orleans is under sea level. it was a stupid place to put a big city
