the problem is that he applied to university and didn't make it... it's easy to work in Portugal if you don't graduate (it's not easy if you do too :uhoh:)... so I told him to come and live with me, I would try to help him to start again...

 

but he doesn't know what he wants to do, and he's lazy too...

Oh that looks like having good chances to get a job in Portugal:P

First of all I have to pass a test to get there....this is tough!

 

no....FIRST of all I have to pass my a-level.....nah it's so strange.....teachers are always talking about it since last week....

last week I was feeling really weird when i thought about this...that there is only half a year of school left...that makes me sad somehow..

yeahhh, time just runs so fast... and it will run faster and faster... and decisions will have to be made... not always easy... but an adventure somehow...

I think you are right.....because sicne I'm 18 I have been realising this more and more....

I had to make more decisions....and my parents didn't have to do this anymore...

I was at a concert last Friday - Madness in Bonn!:smug:

haha....my sister told me about it today....the band which played before them..."Slapstickers" the singer is a friend of my sister ...he said he didn't like it...because Madness only played 45 minutes..and he said that they are arrogant...even their Roadies were arrogant..:laugh4:

Rubbish!! Madness played for about 75 minutes, and the concert was great fun (apart from some idiots in the crowd who kept jumping into everybody).

I can't comment on Madness's level of "arrogance" as I only saw them on stage - however, the sound was fab, and that's all that matters.

Slapstickers sounded good, too. Now they are an example of a good German band, because their sound isn't "German"!!;)

 

The only annoying part was that no cameras were allowed, and the security men kept confiscating them during the show.

Yeah....Slapstickers even had some performances in my area...but I didn't see them yet...

 

About german music I can say that there are enough new musicians I heard on the radio who are really cool....I like their music...but unfortunately only the crap bands are well-known...

But Slapstickers are a good example of a German band who sing in German (fine) but sound universal. They play ska music, and they sounded good, unlike Kettcar, who had a German sound.;)

Julia, have you ever heard something about "God Of Blitz"? I listened to their music when I was at the Hurricane festival and I really like their songs. It's a band coming from Berlin. You have to listen to them, for example at i-Tunes. :nice:

Well they were good "live", anyway. I'm sure you would have enjoyed it, anyway, as Madness have an excellent saxophonist, and the saxophone is an integral part of their sound.
