This was my very irst forum I never went to the official one. After beening here for a few months I went to the official Coldplay one. I didn't like it at all I love this one. it's the best Coldplay site you could ever go to!

 

alyssa, as you said that you thought that everyone hated you thats what I thought too. Also when I came here and posted a post everybody was mean to me! :smug: Well because I asked about the NME magazine and I never introduced myself in the New members thing! :P

Maybe one of the problems with official forum is that soooo many ppl come there and it's hard to take care of it all. Anyhow, it gives a bit of negative feeling too often, so I've pretty much given up on it. It's extremely hard to fit in there. But they have some nice members there as well. ;)

 

(Haha, they just started showing some race on tv and it's Clocks playing! :stunned: :P )

 

Right now we have huge discussion in Estonia about insults etc on Internet communities. Is it freedom of speech or not, should it be controlled and regulated somehow. It just seems that ppl don't take any resposibility of what they write online and it's getting out of hands. :confused:

That's true. There have been suggestions to pulish ppl's IP addresses, so if they write (illegal) crap it would be possible to track 'em down (sort of). So it would dicipline 'em. Ok, in Estonia we have this major problem with news portal/site where ppl comment and those comments are plain terrible. I don't think that would work, but it's an idea...it might work in Estonia since it's a small country. :rolleyes:

But controlling smth as huge as official CP forum etc requiers tons of time.

Hey! I completly agree with you guys. I used to go to the official board and apart from that, the people are so unfriendly. If i ask a question about something, they'd all say stuff like how its a stupid question and crap like that. And whenever I asked for a link for downloading they kept lecturing me about how a true fan should buy stuff. I totally love it here, everyone's so friendly and nice.

Well,all in all I don't feel very welcome there,but I was on the concert in Oberhausen and met one of the german official board members and she was very,very nice! :D :)

Wow, thank you veyr much for your comments on this - I've just been searching for my past posts that I've not looked at in ages and it was nice to be able to read loads of friendly, sensible replies. The topic title, "If you are Christian do not read as you may be offended" was an offence in itself, as it was blatantly going to entail a load of people having a go at Christianity. I, like many many other people, have no problem whatsoever whether or not people believe, or what religion they are BUT what really annoys me is when people just have a go at it and are totally disrespectful towards it. Can you imagine ridiculing somebody just for not following a particular religion??? It's totally crazy, and that topic title made me so curious as to what people had to say that I couldn't help myself, and I was terribly shocked to read what some people had said. RESPECT is such a massive word, and is one of THE most relevant words that can be attached to life as we know it. I know it won't cure absolutely everything bad in the world, but it will sure do something to make people's lives more enjoyable. OK, I may be going a bit off topic, so I'll shut up now :P But thanks again for your comments :)

A few reasons why our site is better:

 

They have 50699 registered users and 346319 posts.

We have 17274 registered users and a massive 1256440 posts!

 

Their top poster is on 17704 while ours is on 34578.

 

The most users we have ever had online is 306. Them, 238.

 

So if numbers are anything to go by, we rule!

 

Oh yeah and we are nicer! :D

in their defense.... in 2004 when they started on that version of board.. ll the members had to re-register and all their our original post counts were lost. :cry: I don't think # of posts or members makes for a better site.... its pure content that does.
