Which Coldplay Songs Make You...

Featured Replies

Hey Coldplayers,

Apologies to all if you have had this thread before but which Coldplay songs really get to you and make you CRY.

I think the ones that did it for me were trouble, swallowed in the sea and message. Let me tell you my story...

i guess my emotions were running high a few nights ago after a long days work, getting turned down by a lad and getting abused by a frustrated person at the drivethrough of maccas. When i got to bed that night i put all my coldplay cd's on random and just let them play through while laying on my bed. then a few select songs came through my headphones and i just started crying, i dont know why and i couldnt stop it, the tears just kept coming as i was listening. Then i thought...hey i dont think any other band could achieve such depth and passion in their songs as coldplay have. :)

So tell me...What songs make you cry?

Sounds to me like its that time of month for you deary. ;)

Ummm.

When my best freind of all time decided we shouldnt be freinds anymore Fix You made me cry..

"Tears stream down your face, when you loose something you cannot replace"

Hahaha let me clarify that...it was not that time of the month

just a bad day!

Easy to Please and Gravity

Fix you every time.... espically when I see them live !

I bawled like a baby the 1st time i heard Fix You live....it was so strange, i didnt think i'd cry.....yet it was kind of happy crying....

I did loads when I saw the video as I knew I was in it somewhere for certain.... and I remember the crowd.... harmonising to almost every single part of the tune, including the instrumental parts of it... !

none, but most likely to in the right time is fix u

me...lots of coldplay songs..all of the songs hold emotional value to me, bacuse they speak to me..about me...others, well they are just funny(nappies, anyone?)

in coldplay, there are two types of crying...the omg!that's sad...and the woah! that's extremely sad!!!!

cry:

1. in the sun(austin city limits with michael stipe)

2. sparks

3. politik

4. fix you

cried like a baby:

1. in my place

2. trouble

3. everything's not lost

4. see you soon(live)

amsterdam , see you soon , a rush of blood to the head, maybe warning sign, cus i don't remember, i'm mostly drunk when i cry to their songs and singing so loud lyrics so you can just imagine what scene is that..

Gravity (Studio version)

Words fail. Seriously. For me, that song is it.

And The Scientist, Fix You, Amsterdam and the piano version of Yellow. And I've come very close with See You Soon.

^oh, i forgot amsterdam! i've cried so hard....

In The Sun with Michael Stipe was just... wow. Right after my mom heard it she said, "So can you, um, download that one?" I watched the last half hour of that show 3 times and those two songs were my favorite parts.

Anyway. Talk, Fix You, Gravity (either version), Kingdom Come, Life Is For Living 2003... but yeah. At the right time, some songs hit me pretty hard.

^do you by any chance have it....? or know if anyone recorded it?

ACL was by far the best thing i've ever seen on tv...plus michale with coldplay is like a dream come true, i've always loved REM!!! :P

I know. :smug: But I haven't even searched for it yet!

i had to fight back the tears at Fix You on Friday  Very emotional. Esp as chris said they wouldn't be in the UK again for a long time :bigcry:
