Which songs to start with?

Featured Replies

Hi, I've started playing the guitar and I can already play a few parts of some songs, but no complete songs. Can someone recommend me some good (coldplay)songs to start with? Thanks!

Fix You seems easy enough.

Thanks, I'll try these ones!

I have just learned 'see you soon'. sounds great. I have been playing acoustic for a few months and this is the first Coldplay song I have managed to learn succesfully. Moving on to Speed of sound and Til Kingdom come now which I think will take a bit longer to get right. :)

In My Place, God Put a Smile Upon Your Face, and Don't Panic. ;)

Ok thanks!

Now I know what to do. ;)

see you soon for a beginner? not bad... you'll probably be real good soon!

In My Place is easiest because it's the same sort of riff then a few under the chorus, which means you can get the whole song down with pretty much one riff.

Fix You seems easy enough but don't play it the 5/12 or 4/11 way on just the two strings, watch the videos and figure out what Johnny is doing because it's not that, he's playing a chord and sliding it up.

Don't Panic is easy, has a cool sort of rythm to it.

One I Love and Moses...possibly Warning Sign. Parachutes is nice as well. :)
