linear algebra ??? I havent heard of that kinda branch?maybe I havent learnt or the education system of my country is different from yurs :D .I like geometry, esp "space geometry" ( I dont know its E name :D ).

That's what I thought the title of the album was refering to for a while. The X&Y Chromosomes. But then I did my research... :D I can see the puzzle references in X&Y. There are definitelly quite a bit, but I don't think that was their intention.

I dunno, I'm just horrible at it. And its funny cuz everyone says that math is such a huge part of music...and that you can't have music without math. Buuut I play 6 different instruments, 5 of which were self taught...ergo...no math skill/some music skill. But that's just me...

Yeah, I was just thinking about this for some reason... X&Y are obviously two very common variables in math, and there are other math references (sorta) in X&Y also.

 

Square One - squares are math :p

What If - "no reason or rhyme" - reason is logic, which is math sorta

White Shadows - "part of a system" - system of equations?

Fix You - learn from mistakes?

Talk - "feel like a puzzle" "language I don't speak" - math is a language

X&Y - "something is broken, try to fix it, anyway I can" - long shot, but could be like math problems

Speed of Sound - more puzzles

A Message - nothing here

Low - "perfect symmetry"

The Hardest Part - nothing here

Swallowed in the Sea - "a hundred miles" "a thousand houses"

Twisted Logic - logic is math
