If you could change one thing in your current life...

Featured Replies

what would you change?

I would leave home. The situation's been difficult for years, and I really just want to leave, but I can't because I'm still going to school and I don't have any money. I will when I leave school in summer.

Sometimes we seem to get along well with each other, but that makes me feel even worse. I know that nothing is ok, and probably never will. I just can't forget the things I've been told in recent years, and it still hurts, even though we never talked about it.

When I told my father that I wanna go to England for three months, he didn't care. He didn't even ask me what I want to study.

My mother is completely different, I get along very well with her and I know I would miss her a lot. But still the current situation hurts a lot, so I would leave home, if I could.

I am not sure if I would change something, but maybe I would make a lots of things I did not .

What?

Well I would work harder

I would live somewhere else... I wouldn't be here

I would live in Manchester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too, I don't like my village. Nothing ever happens here. And the worst thing about it is the fact, that people here talk about anyone and anything. Even if they have never talkeed to you, they talk about you, and of course they know everything. This is really annoying.

Well, doesn't this sound oh so familiar in my head. This is absolutely what I would change as well. [/i]sometimes ....sometimes[/i] things are okay at home ... but it is so rare, that the hard stuff outways the good times.

I am in the same situation..not having ALL of the money to move out...YET, but having the want to move out...it is tough. I don't have a cloe relation with any of my siblings or my parents.

And too often...this situation is common with the youth of today.

But high school is coming to an end for me and by this summer....the growing stash of money will be enough for me to be on my own for at least a year. I already have a studio rented out for me in Austin...it is small but it has all that I need. So I can't wait to get there.

So yeah, that is what i would, and soon, will change.

(sorry for the spill ^^^^up there) But it is not like anyone really KNOWS me here or anything :smug:

my heigth...being short is horrible.

^Im with you on that one! :(

I would be at university now with all my friends :( Living at home sucks.

how tall are you Nik? (i think that is your name... )

i am just 5 feet and maybe one or two inches...

I really like my brother and we can talk about lots of things, but he feels the same way about it. He normally spends all his time in his room, pretending to learn for school and playing computer games.

Hopefully it will have an end for me in summer too. Depends on weather I can go to the Uni I want to go. I don't know if I will be accepted there, yet. It depends on how many students wanna study there... people that live near this town have a better chance to be accepted.

Ahhh I see. Man...it sounds like just what is going on for me! I just can't wait to be in the uni already. If it means getting away from where I am now :worried:

I also would change that, I don't have a good or trustable relation with my family. I just need to wait 5 years for when I'm finish my career, hopefully.

Exactly. :embarrased: If I find a job in England, I can move out in July, and hopefully start my studies in another Swiss town when I come back.

Sometimes I think it's a sad idea that I don't trust enough my parents to comment my things, the way i feel or how I think.

My hope is somehow win an scholarship to make postgrade/doctorate abroad, where I could stablish myself and make my life the way I want it.

I'm not sure that is the same problem as me

What I thought is that I live too far from some people I love and that is not easy every day.

Well, I understand that you can't live in this village anymore.

I'd like to live in town. To go out and see lots of people. To go in pubs, to go to the grocery at the corner of the street I live in. To go to the theatre when I want. And to be able to go to the university without taking the bus !!

THe problem when you live in a village you can't do anything on nights, you always have to take your car. That's boring.....

if i could do anything in the world I would move to canada, forget everyone form home and start again, its my dream to live in canada!

Yeah, well, I didn't mean you have the same problem. I just wanted to say why I feel this way.

You are absolutely right of course. It is a problem, especially because I haven't done my driving licence yet. :embarrased:

Alright there's no problem ;)

Awww that's even worse for you without a driving license. :( Cheers ! ;)

I know. I can't do it at the moment, because I can't afford it. I absolutely wanna do it. Usually somebody gives me a ride, but still...

I know what you mean. I wans't able to do it as soon as I would have liked (same thing..the money and no job to get money and then no car to get the money that I needed to pay for the lisence...) you know the cylce of money.

But try your very best till you get to where you want to be. Is all I can say because there is not much else i can do

Thank you.

I work from time to time, need to be able to work regularly. Not just giving a few private lessons and helping out somewhere during my holidays. I have to find a better job, especially when I start my studies.

Yep ..I still don't have a steady job..I babysit on weekends and have a hostess job. But it is not enough.
