Swallowed in the Sea gives me goosebumps! It's such a great song and I can't believe they swap it out with The Hardest Part! I'll be at the Detroit show and I'm so damn nervous about NOT hearing Swallowed in the Sea in the encore. The last time my girlfriend and I saw it, she cried. We should get a petition going about the encore!! Keep Swallowed in the Sea in the set for every show!!

 

Is it just me or is Swallowed in the Sea a standout track on X & Y?

:) the whole album is amazing,but the standout track 4 me, is TALK. Hope you enjoy the gig, im dead jealous i cant be there. :cry:

The song is better live. Chris' piano version is kickass.

see to me it is my least favourite on the cd, I would rather hear The Hardest Part......but not as a single!

 

I appreciate the musical part of the song, but find Swallowed In The Sea to be the weakest lyrically.

I've just heard The Hardest Part live from seattle... and I have to say it sounds great. ;)

It has to be mandatory and in the encore.

 

I got leaked version of the album about a week before, and Swallowed in the Sea was the one that was most immediate to me,

 

This has to be the next single, the lyrical phrasing is amazing and Chris' live piano version is ethereal.

 

This song pretty much has the same chord progression as Yellow. Not too shabby company

 

As for the lyrical naysayers, give me a break,

 

the lyrics aren't bad, they are quite poetic

 

I would like to see the naysayer's lyrics to the song.

 

 

Anyway, Swallowed in the Sea should be the next single hands down.
