February 15, 200620 yr Haha! Chris WAS drunk. From Brits website: Madonna is friends with Chris Martin and his wifey Gwyneth Paltrow, so thats all cosy. But when the award is announced, Chris is caught swigging champers straight from the bottle – what would Gywnnie say to that?! Then Coldplay are upon the stage Chris hands the mic to their drummer who ‘doesn’t say much’. He thanks everyone before Chris takes the mic again and says that this could be the last moment they have to say anything… apart from ordering people to stop having a go at James Blunt. “Support him,” Chris shouts. “He’s British.” And with that Coldplay are gone. But is this the last time we’ll see them together?
