February 15, 200620 yr And I'm somehow speechless now....but I think it is interesting to discuss this with hmmm...let's say both sides.....ok...not really....but with a muslim and the "western world"!
February 15, 200620 yr can any of the religions allow those acts??? have a look at here: http://web.amnesty.org/library/eng-2md/index And, as you might know, many of these countries' laws find their origin in religion.
February 15, 200620 yr people overreacted these caricatures, newspapers can publish whatever they want,so...all these reactions were too wild...
February 15, 200620 yr well, i think i know what you're talking aboutwinnie, you do know something but missing.and unfortunately the most important thing is missing out there.you use muslims and Islam instead of countries and governments...
February 15, 200620 yr can any of the religions allow those acts??? Some religions not allow those acts because: 1-Some religions do not do that kind of acts 2-The law prohibits it But there are some religions that could do that kind of acts,if were up to them
February 15, 200620 yr We are talking about Mulisms and Islam, because all the problems that cartoons caused There is a lot of religion and countries that we coud talk about. There is not something only against the mulism world
February 15, 200620 yr its ok.no need to sorry.in fact i wouldnt write anything much abt this cartoon event.but then i think it would be nice to be a muslim in this discussion.especiaaly when i saw the threads "what we should really believe" (i cant remember the name but its smt like that)and "media", i decided to be source for the muslim world.
February 15, 200620 yr And that is something good! To be honest I do not know much about Islam or Mulism and I think that we should know a little bit more of the things we want to talk or discuss
February 15, 200620 yr There you are right Alfredo........but I think discussing ithout much background knowledge proves how much or how few we know about other cultures,religions.etc....
February 15, 200620 yr of course we're talking about muslims and Islam Ryujiki. but i said that sentence because winnie has wrong -well, missing maybe- info abt Islam.he thinks those acts are allowed in Islam.but what he has heard from media is something about countries..
February 15, 200620 yr all those islam people misunderstood the caricatures, somebody just said "all those danish newspapers wrote shit about us..." and people followed that person.those newspapers never wanted to hurt muslim people's opinions...newspapers have the right to write about anything they want...it's not the 19th century and censor
February 15, 200620 yr I think they juat saw: western nespapers draw a picture of muhammed>>>>>are not allowed to>>>>they hate us>>>>let's fight against it!
February 15, 200620 yr I am agreed with you Julia! (Hello btw :) ) If you do not know something, you can ask for information.Discussing could be a way to have information!
February 15, 200620 yr True Alfredo (Hello to you too :) ) I mean those discussions really show how much we know about the others......and we can learn from them.....
February 15, 200620 yr I am pretty sure that the person who draw the cartoon,do not know anything about Mulism or Islam!
February 15, 200620 yr i'm pretty sure that person knew something about muslims...that's why he/she published it
February 15, 200620 yr Anyway......it's a thing you can really discuss...........and I learned a bit more now about this topic..............I'm away now........
February 15, 200620 yr im going offline too.thanks for this nice discussion everyone.im sorry if i said wrong to you or hurt you.cya
February 15, 200620 yr Know something is not enough sometimes. If you are in newspaper and you always demand the right of say or publish what you want, is also your duty, to inform you well about what you are going to publish.
February 15, 200620 yr but what he has heard from media is something about countries.. no... especially this stoning is going on especially in remote regions where the people don't care about laws, but blindly follow their religious leaders. They're motivated by their religion, not by the state. Plus every religion has endless interpretations. Some might say stoning people to death is allowed, some not - but everybody thinks, he's right. That's a problem of religion in general. all those islam people misunderstood the caricatures, somebody just said "all those danish newspapers wrote shit about us..." and people followed that person.those newspapers never wanted to hurt muslim people's opinions...newspapers have the right to write about anything they want...it's not the 19th century and censor i'm pretty sure that person knew something about muslims...that's why he/she published it agree and agree.
