February 19, 200620 yr anyone got any information about this song... I got a folder with this setlist: 01 Talk (radio edit) 02 Sleeping Sun 03 Gravity can anybody tell me about this? Sleeping Sun is an incredible song... very unique sounding...
February 19, 200620 yr Sleeping Sun was a B-Side on the release of Talk. If that's what you're asking about...?!
February 19, 200620 yr if you actually want the song its on this fellows excellent thread - http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25748 if you havent already looked!
February 19, 200620 yr upon second reading i see that you have actually heard it, just ignore me!! only trying to help and all. as for information, i think this song is just another step in the 'til kingdom come' country music area of coldplay. in the same way the beatles entered a drug inspired phase of music in 1967 which totally changed their sound, coldplay have gone country for 2006!
February 20, 200620 yr hey hey chris martin said himself that theyd like to go country in their next album! he was blatently kidding but you have to admit that til kingdom come and sleeping sun - both in X&Y period sort of, are country songs!
February 20, 200620 yr Author yeah I'm trying to figure out wha album this is from, because a person sent me the link, but didn't tell me what the hell it was, so I downloaded it and it was a folder with these three songs... so it's on the Talk single? or what? Also, personally, I don't think Sleeping Sun sounds country... it sounds pretty pop-y to me... also it's really easy to play, I did it by ear, but most Coldplay songs are... anyway thanks for the help, but exactly what album is it from?
February 21, 200620 yr If this is what Chris meant by "Country"... bring it on. Me and my friend were talking today about how AWESOME an album with a majority of songs like Green Eyes, Til Kingdom Come, Sleeping Sun, and Trouble would be. Maybe open and close with another celestial track...
April 18, 200620 yr ok, does anyone else sense a similarity between "the nappies" and "sleeping sun"? I just had to go watch nappies again after Moses was born and it hit me that even tho Chris and the boys were camping it up it had a taste of "sleeping sun" to it. Or it might be me...I'm taking alot of coldmedicine at the moment. <bg>
April 24, 200620 yr I am loving Sleeping Sun also. An album that sounds very back to basics, like Til Kingdom Come, Sleeping Sun, etc. would be much welcomed. They are so versatile they can sing almost anything!
