Video: Stand and Shiny Happy People come to mind. The footage, dancers, audience members, hosts, and general fun everybody has of The Hardest Part are the kind of fare that is often regarded as kooky. Stand and Shiny Happy People exude the same kind of kooky fare: no rock stars rock-starring, no spic-and-span production, just ordinary people seemingly hand-picked by R.E.M. to dance a simple, unusual, choreograhed routine and to have a good time in a video free from a world that might point and laugh.

 

The Hardest Part, song and video, fits in well with late 80's, early 90's R.E.M.
