you were going to stood me up!!??

ehmm.....yes maybe

I hate formalities... and I would have had to worn a dress and make up be girly

you don't have to do that for me ;)... I like you just the way you are...

If you don't like her then tell your friends to stuff it. If you don't like her all because you don't know her, then there's a problem since how can you not like someone just because you don't know them??

I can see your friends are trying to help you out and being shy is problably why they want to help... Maybe there is someone you do like that you'd rather ask out instead??

aww thanks miguel  that's nice to hear :nice:

too bad you're not 17 and live in sweden

yeahhh... that's typical me... wrong time and the wrong place...

and wrong age too....jeeez....pull your socks up, miguel :dozey:

ohhh please don't remind me of that.... I don't celebrate birthdays anymore... I gey more and more depressed...

and I think I'm getting old....

no but 27 is nothing, imagen if you were 77 :o

that's a good way of seeing it... but I wish I was 20 again...

If you can't find anyone, find as many friends as you can that aren't going with someone. And go dressed up as superheros or something. That's my plan for if I can't find a date. :P

Prom's are a social thing. It's like, something you want people to remember the rest of their lives. They're gonna remember a group of people dressed as the Power Rangers. As long as you don't spoil it for anyone else, and just go to have fun, nothing to stop you.

And, that post was 300% serious..... That's actually what I'm gonna do if I can't find a date. I'll let ya'all know next year :P

I'm fortunate enough to know lots of girls who don't have boyfriends :P

but you can't be 20 again so try to cheer up :P you will turn 28 soon, that's an even number

oh gosh....I'm 20 in four years... :disappointed:

stuff it! bbbahahah! yeah, tell em that!

High school is lame' date=' but you have to play the game or you end up by yourself all the time.[/quote']

you must have no self-estime, personality or character to say something like that... people that always do what other say are the real losers!!!

that would be a stupid move.

why? because your pals would get mad at you and then you get kicked outta the prom group?

i say it would be a good move, because if you say it just right, they just might.

dd

they don't (going by past comments as well) seem like reallllll good friends or anything if they are considerate of you (trying to find you a date) but being inconsiderate and rude to other girls in the process.

Maybe those girls they were asking for you were completly embarrassed or something. Or they just plain felt bad.

Good people (let alone friends) are not inconsiderate of the people in their surroundings

its called picking and choosing your battles....knowing when to shut up and when to speak out. you cannot go through life and go agaisnt everything and be anti everything. i hate people like that, they end up the annoying kids. why make pointless enemies? that is unwise.

alot of the time you have to go with the flow on things.

and another thing... what's this business about

"its called picking and choosing your battles"

and then saying that you can't go making enemies and that school is like a game?

and then you say don't make enemies. in a "game" (which school is not) there are competetors and in a battle/war there are enemies/opponents.

and about school being a game, or social issue. NO IT IS NOT.

you choose to make it that way, to try an fit in (which i see in you alot)

Life is not one big social bubble. It is about becoming an indicidual and doing things for yourself. Guaranteed, you willl not be with all those buddies of your for all your life. You must become a one, not a group.

see the important things, past the now.

i dont know who il take to my formal yet... :(

nick, i reckon u should approach this girl and apologize about the way ur friends have been acting, then maybe the convo can lead on and if you think she's cool, invite her to this concert thing.
