Living for your children?

Featured Replies

Could you imagine this:

Having an XXL family with 10 children or more...having everything well organised and not being able to do things spontaneously?

No time for hobbies? No time for being alone or to have quiet hours?

Maybe only once a year?

I couldn't.....I definitely couldn't!

Surely i want to have children who I would love more than everything else. But i think there must be time for yourself, especially for me,I am a person who needs that!

I watched this documentation about XXL families with my mum this evening, and i realised that I couldn't live like that!

That's my fear about having children, and why I never plan to. I couldn't imagine not being able to have a drink when I want to, go to a concert when I want to, doing the work hours that fit my life. I just can't live with structure, unless I'm the one structuring it (that's why I can't wait to graduate Shit School, I mean, High School!)

I don't know why people have so many children. It's just unbelievably stupid to me.

i can imagine situations like these some centuries ago, now it happens rarely, you have a friend nowadays:

No!

Eeeevery sperm is saaacred, every sperm is great! Wheeeen a sperm is waaasted, God gets quite iraaate!

structure sucks! especially considering that each child is an individual and you HAVE To make time for each one, or else they feel left out!

that is crucial in raising children..time for each.

And the best times i had with my pap and mam were those that were spontaneous (this, in the time they still had some love left for each other, much less me) and I wouldnt trade that for organization anyday!

some time or another, that fall apart because, in the end,the childred will end up screwy

No!

so true :o

every sperm is sacred, every sperm is good! every sperm is needed in your neighborhood!

that rhymes!

I can easily imagine this situation... we're 4 brothers and 2 sisters, that makes it not far from 10... and all I can tell you is that it is simply great... we're very similar in most of particular things what makes it easier to make things together, like going to a restaurant, cinema, parties, football matches... we now want to go to a concert all together, the 6 of us...

life on mars?

gosh you must be bored!!!!

I know a family with 8 kids- not quite 10 but close.

The thing is, by the time the younger ones are born, the older ones are old enough to help out, so every one in the family pitches in and it's not so much of a strain on the parents. They still have time for thier own things too, and in a way they have it good, because no one ever get lonely like in small families.

that rhymes!

It's a Monty Python song, from their movie Meaning Of Life.;) Check it out, it's brilliant LMFAO

poor older brother/sister... and he/she must be a model to all the others...

My aunt and uncle have 4 girls. One girl's 10, while all the others are 4. Yep. They had triplets. Just for the record, my aunt's crazy. Katherine's the 10 year old and she's completely ignored by her family now. It's all about the triplets. Blah blah blah. It's absolutely horrible. So everytime we have a family party, I make a point of giving Katherine extra special attention. She's such a sweetheart in so many ways, but her parents don't see that because they're distracted by the three other girls and their problems.

And now my aunt's going on about wanting another baby and they're getting a golden retriever puppy soon. God help them. I think people have mental problems where they get obsessional with their bodies, along with the need for children. Unbelievable...

:dozey: Radiohead?

we are four siblings in mine, and while that is not close to 10 at all..its crowded at times for a gal like me who perfers her time to herself!

But many of my friends are from big families and when i visit i treasure the times because while they do have schedules of chores for each person (i do too, and my family isnt that big) and there are many things regulated, ... it DOES work out, and the families depend one one member to the other. they are all so close and i love being in that enviorment.

eheheheh!!!!

I think Coldplay would be more unanimous... I mean, I'm sure we would go for Radiohead too, but if we had to choose it probably would be coldplay...
