But it would help if the Canes were playin a bit better tonte. Oh well, we'll just take the cup at home I guess!!!

Yeah, despite the amazing play of the Oilers, the Canes just don't seem to be in it... I can't imagine why; they could have won the cup tonight.

cant wait til monday. hopefully they can keep this going eh? although i think markenen needs to make sure hes ready since he wasnt really tested at all tonight. anybody agree with that statement?

Wholeheartedly. While it's a shutout, he only had 14 shots to stop. Still, a good effort from Jussi, especially that leap he did in the 2nd.

He was challenged a bit during one of Carolina's power plays...made a couple of VERY important saves...but over all, he didn't have to work as hard as game 5 because his team-mates were doing their jobs!!!

GAME 7 HERE WE COME.....GO OILERS!!!

:rolleyes5::juggle::sunny::jester::mad:

YAAAAA!

Game 7 here we come!!! (And now with momentum)

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

The NHL refs are absolute bullshit. The calls tonight were the worst of the series, and it's obvious that hte refs are biased. I'll admit, the Canes didn't have much tenacity tonight. They weren't going for any body shots, mostly because whenever they did, the refs called a penalty... but Edmonton could check the whole night long and notta penalty.

I also thought it was very low for Torres to go for Cole's neck. It was blatant, and everyone saw it in the first period.

Overall, I think it's going to be a very very tough battle back home, but the Canes can pull it off. They had some steam taken out of them when they lost at home Wednesday night, I think because people had hyped it up to be the last night of the Stanly Cup Finals. Then it turned out not to be, and they got down.

Game 7 will most definitely be interesting. With a full-strength Carolina bench versus a full-strength Oilers bench, it'll be the most intense game of the series.

I also want to give my personal player of the game award to Cam Ward. He did a fantastic job tonight - stepped it up while the rest of the team was slacking. I really think he's the best goalie in the NHL.

I'm glad to see that nobody on this thread is celebrating injuries to the opposing teams. I have friends who cheered when Doug Weight was hurt and I really hate that S**t!! Like you said, 2 healthy teams make for great hockey!! It's gonna be a barn-burner no matter who wins!!! Good luck to both!

GO OILERS!!!

yea i mean its good for the oilers but i also dont want to see someone hurt or wish that upon someone. But if they want to win game seven its going to have to be solid goaltending because he wasnt tested in game 6 they're going to throw as much as they can at him monday night.

Yeah' date=' despite the amazing play of the Oilers, the Canes just don't seem to be in it... I can't imagine why; they could have won the cup tonight.[/quote']

Thats what I asked when they were only down 1-0. I mean they didn't seem hungry at all. And right after I said that Torres scored haha

lol well its going to seven so lets stop looking at the past cause i think youll see a completely new team on the ice come monday night.

I don't think so. The Canes are tired as dogs. The Oil are sticking it to them.

yea but i think laviolette is going to stress the point that they need to throw more pucks at the net which the being tired does not affect.

Sure it does, the Oilers just aren't giving them the room or chances to shoot. And when they do shoot the Oil are getting into the shooting lanes.

man dont underestimate. we'll see tonight. i doubt it will be a blowout. edmonton will win but not like saturday night

Just a Theory:

Roloson getting injured is a good thing. This forced the Edmonton defence to tighten up. This in turn allowed less shots on their "weaker" goaltender who was not tested in game 6 and got a shutout which was a large part the defence. This is saying that this allowed Edmonton to tighten up on their defence which lacked in the first two games in Carolina. Thats a theory for you.

Here is my theory

Goals + Defence = Stanley Cup

everytime someone says Oilers, i think of the Houston Oilers...i don't know why.
