I remember being at game 6 of the conferrence final 3 years ago when Ottawa lost to JN. There were Jersey fans in the seats behind us. When it was over, my friends and I turned to them and shook their hands. Later, a bunch of Sens fans carried the 2 NJ fans out of the Corell Centre on their shoulders...and not to beat them up in the parking lot...lol. Congratulations to you 'Canes fans!!! It was a beautiful game!!! I virtually shake your hands and lift you up on my shoulders! Enjoy your first time victory!!!

 

And Hey, I can go back to being a hated Leafs fan...but thank you Edmonton for keeping Canada alive 'til the end!!!

 

BTW, Carolina...keep that Cup nice and shiny for when it comes home next year...lol!!

it was a good series. i guess thats all that matters. carolina obviously was the better team and thats the way it came across in that last game. Whatever anybody says Carolina did deserve it more as a team because they did finish higher in the standings and well the cup was theirs all along just nobody seemed to pick up on it I guess. Maybe we were all just too hopeful. :juggle:

id say not. i dont know i think i wanted them to win just cause they were canadian but it wasnt heartbreaking when they lost because they arent really my team.

I know what you mean. Alot of my friends in Canada assume that and it's CRAP! I have a few good friends in NC and none of them are Rednecks. Anyone who thinks that should go th Chapel Hill some time. That place is the COOLEST!!

hey, i played in a hockey tournament a little while ago in Orlando florida, and they actually brought the cup down to us, each of the guys on my team got to have our picture taken with it, I KISSED IT!!!!

WOW! I haven't seen this thread in AGES!!! So many great memories...it's actually the thread that got me involved in the coldplaying community...Good on you guys who got to see the cup!!

I can see the cup like any time I want. I live in Toronto and the Hockey hall of fame is here and that's where they keep it. :D.
