man if the canes only had E. Cole......(in case you didnt know, he was boarded by Orpik in the final weeks of the regular season, and had his neck fractured) hes out and i really doubt that the canes will recover, we had a serious run for the cup going, we were number one in the league for the majority of the season until he was hurt, and now we are in the top 5.....:-/ sad day but anyways

GO CANES

I'm sorry we can't be friends, I'm a Habs fan.

EAST:

Ottawa Senators (1.) - Tampa Bay Lightning (8.)

Ottawa in six. The Sens have been slumping but still they have incredible depth.

Carolina Hurricanes (2.) - Montreal Canadiens (7.)

Montreal in seven. (I'm biased) Goaltending will decide this series.

New Jersey Devils (3.) - New York Rangers (6.)

Jersey in six. The Rangers cinderella series ends in the first round. Two words: Marty Brodeur.

Buffalo Sabres (4.) - Philadelphia Flyers (5.)

Sabres in six. The Sabres are downright scary, they could be the team from the East to make it to the final.

WEST:

Detroit Red Wings (1.) - Edmonton Oilers (8.)

Wings in five. Detroit just has a bomb team. Period.

Dallas Stars (2.) - Colorado Avalanche (7.)

Stars in six. Jose Theodore? I'm glad Montreal got rid of that guy.

Calgary Flames (3.) - Anaheim Mighty Ducks (6.)

Flames in seven. Perhaps the closest series in the first round.

Nashville Predators (4.) - San Jose Sharks (5.)

Sharks in six. The Preds aren't as dangerous without Vokoun even though Mason did score a goal.

Woo Hoo! The quest for Stanley begins!

GO WINGS!

Funny pics, sniggirb. ;)

hahhaha! Hilarious pics sniggirb!

Poor Leafs!

But I agree with Susan!

GO DETROIT!

HEY HEY HOCKEYTOWN!

DOWN WITH THE AVS! GRRRRRR

I seriously thing Detroit is unstoppable in our sports teams at the moment.

eh, well the Lions still need to get with it. lol.

haha. very nice.

I hope we get to play them, so some good fights can break out.:D

Ha! One thing's for sure, Detroit/Colorado games are never boring. fighting0050.gif

As for the Wings, I read that Datsyuk may miss the opener tonight. Hoping he will be in shape for game 2.

 go go Avs!!!

Nice...Maltby? 2 goals? woah

man stop eating up on the leafs..

There's lots more where that came from.

man stop eating up on the leafs..

but its so easy

and it feels so good

Holy Moly. What a way to start off the play-offs...double OT. Sending a shout-out to Kirk Maltby!

I was pretty happy that the Flames won in OT. I was pretty worried they would lose the way the Sharks were dominating in the third period and the first 5 minutes of overtime.

Can't wait for the Habs series to start tonight!

yeah, hopefully the habs can pull out the upset.

They did get killed by the Canes in the regular season but that was with Theodore and without Markov. I think we have a chance.

I'm looking forward to the Flyers game tonight. Everyone is counting them out but I think some people will be surprised. If Forsberg can stay healthy, Esche is decent in net and we don't take stupid penalties, we have a chance.

About 4 more hours...

Esche? You're joking right. Decent goaltending gets you nowhere in the playoffs. Aren't they playinf Nittymaki anyways?

I know if looks like I hate the Flyers but I actually like them. I'm a big fan of Knuble, Gagne, and Forsberg.

flames to take it over ottawa in the finals in 6 games....kipper is gonna carry the flames again

Yeah because it definitely won't be the Flames going on some big scoring rampage.
