Hi guys!

 

Is anyone else suffering from horrible withdrawl symptoms? I feel like I have nothing to look forward to now :( I've been listening to them for the past two days. What a concert. . . Actually there was this girl in line a little behind me who met Chris at around 5pm, even got a picture with him! grrrr. We heard them do the sound check around 1pm so a few of us went and stood at the back stage entrance, but no sight :angry: No more coldplay :(

 

I do understand what you are going through right now. I'm also suffering from this horrible feeling and has nothing to look foward to. We were unlucky not to meet the band when we waited for them at around 1 pm :(

Don't put these crazy thoughts into my head! I'm in a state of psycho-ness right now and I just might do it! he-he. Though I think the next I do see them live, I'm gonna do it sitting down somewhere further back, so that I can just hear Chris Martin's beautiful voice and not three random women behind me who were singing every song off tune :angry:

I knowwww, I really wish we could have met them. Ah well, we were close enough to him :) What a concert, *sigh* its going to take me forever to get over this one. Oh well, we can hope and pray their next album will be out soon enough!

Btw, any news on when the DVD will be out?

 

Sanjay, enjoy the concert! :) Hope you've got some good seats! Its fantastic.

My pics of the concert are up on Multiply - but don't worry if you're not a member, I've set it so that anyone (member or not) can look. But yeah, they're a little fuzzy despite the fact that I was in the free standing area and was less than few hundred metres away.

I think that first picture I have up of chris was just before he took your phone :D

I went with the ticket from MTV, and three of the winners got a chance to meet the band and I wasn't one of 'em, Chris wasn't there tho. He wasn't feeling really well right before the concert. My friend got me Jonny Buckland's autograph!! He noted it: To Sarah, Best Wishes.

 

That was yet, the best day in my life.

There were 3 t shirt designs, patches, keychains and programmes. That's all I noticed.

I got there around 3pm, there was already a small number of people there then. What time did you get there?

I wasn't that dedicated; I got there about 6 something - was still wandering the streets of Singapore at 3 p.m. Heh.

ahhha =D yeah that was the closest i got to chris xD

he actually accessed my phonebook n selected the first no. in list..

my friend was like "hell.. juliana dont yell over the mobile!" <(she didn't know it was chris!)

but the call didnt last long, it was like 5secs or so.. guess chris just made a missed call or prolly he didnt want me to pay for the fee =p

i got there bout 3pm n started queueing ever since, the queue wasn't that long.. when they let us in the stadium i juz dashed forward, despite the guards telling me not to run =P

 

i was actually expecting them to bring some other cooler merchandise =P not that those sold there weren't nice.. but was expecting something more..

anyhow, i bought the brown and black tee.. hard to refrain myself from getting them xD

I got there at 11am in the morning. So by the time the band came on stage, I had waited 10 hours. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :) Totally worth it though!

awwww lucky he took your phone, and just reading your signature - it was your birthday too! Man, that IS the coolest present ever. It was my birthday too when I went to the brisbane concert, very cool present as well.

 

Did he only just call the first person on your phone? I always wonder what he does on the phones...

Concert was brilliant. Seats weren't bad, but no way near as close as you guys got!!! And I love your pics, Kavitha. Amazing. I didn't look at any of them until just now since I wanted to go into the concert without too much expectation, but the images are quite similar to what we just saw tonight. Highlights for me were Square One (digital backdrop), Til Kingdom Come (he sang a song about Hong Kong), The Scientist (the whole crowd was singing along), Politik, Speed of Sound, Yellow (with the balloons) and of course Fix You - what an ending. I'll try and upload Til Kingdom Come which I recorded -quite a nifty version as well.

 

And yes, suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Can't believe they have come and gone now...it'll hit me in a few days I know. I would have loved to have seen their entire Asian leg so that I could get it out of my system, but finances/time were not permitting. Alas... but I am glad I finally did see them. Most of the people in this world haven't. And boy have they missed out! Good night from a very happy Hong Kong tonight!

Great pic!!! I took one alot like it in Toronto...same pose, and even had a crew member shooting footage in it! Chris had alot more hair in mine though...lol!

Sounds like a great concert, still bummed that i couldn't be there. At least i got a t-shirt from the concert, got a friend to get one for me.
