The 10th of July is one year from my Coldplay concert in Austria.... :embarassed:

I just realised something - 10 of July is when Thom Yorke's solo album The Eraser is coming out....

hey guys in singapore (or in asia) can i make a request? coldplay will go to singapore in 10 july, am i right? and in mtv asia they will be everywhere in mtv. interviews in pop inc, double trouble, bla bla bla. im in taiwan now so i cant tape anything and cant upload it, so will somebody tape coldplay things that will happen in mtv and upload it here? i will really appreciate that. thanks in advance.

It's been out for a few days already in HK. Surprising that it would come out later in Sing. And btw, only heard it at HMV, but sounds great!

Just found this site, while searching for the concert info in SG

Hi, I am new to this site. Found it while searching for info about Coldplay concert in SG.

Bought the tickets on the 1st day when SISTIC opened the counter, subsequently booked the travelling on the same day. Applied for 2 days leave from work.

Saw some of the posting on the concerts in Australia etc, would like to check the songlist for the coming SG concert.

Other things to check, whether any merchandise (t-shirts, sourveniours etc) available.

Thanks.

Well... the album leaked quite a while ago - it's not bad, I reckon... I've been listening to it for a while now... :D

Come on you Singaporeans... where are your reviews??;)

DAMNIT!!!!!!

I CAN"T BELIEVE I MISSED OUT COLDPLAY IN SINGAPORE AGAINNN!!!! DAMNITDAMNDAMNDAMNDAMN... Why can't they come over to KL???? Sick little children...

The concert was awesome.

Some interesting info about the concert:-

1. The light buld did not led during 'Fix You' bridge. Chris Martin was totally pissed, decided to swing the bulb away

2. Light malfunction during 'unplugged'

3. Drummer Will Champions missed couple of beats/counts; ended with Chris shown him middle finger

4. The concert started @ 8:50pm, 50mins delayed. I thought Malaysian generally late.... Obviously Singaporean is also catching up on this too.....

Transportation was a nightmare. Think 60% of audience used public transport, including us. Should have driven there.... icon_smile.gif

Anyway, Coldplay was good. Think the band performed well, but the organiser sucked a bit. The concert started after 45mins delayed, which rap tracks played through. Was thinking, WTF??

I thought an hour and about... 10 minutes wasn't enough. A bit the potong steam after having to wait for almost 2 hours like dungus and jakuns.

even though that sounds really annoying, its kinda funny (With Chris and the bulb) but if you had a good time and coldplay was good - thats pretty much all that matters... :)

Ya man. My spouse was telling me the same thing too.

Overall, the performance was trully international class.

By the way, Jonny Buckland rocks!

Hi all - newbie here, although I'm no newbie to Coldplay. But I thought I might add on to the review above. (Sorry if it includes elements that people already know about from previous Twisted Logic shows; I haven't been terribly up to date about such things.)

The concert did begin 15 mins late, with the countdown pictured by visioncatz. It also featured some of the best lighting I've ever seen.

There was very little talk, mostly a barrage of one song after another, making the concert seem very short. Chris simply stopped to ask every now and then, "Are you okay?" He also joked about how the crowd was already so good on a Monday night - how would they be like on a Saturday night? And of course he joked about the Backstreet Boys, which was already mentioned.

Coldplay also covered the Johnny Cash song "Ring of Fire" with the preface that it was dedicated to the "late, great Johnny Cash".

The balloons were bounced from the back of the venue to the front during "Yellow", where they were burst by Chris Martin at the end of the song. The balloons were filled with golden confetti, by the way.

And at the end of "Fix You", Chris ran round to the back of the venue to finish the song there.

I was standing towards the back so my pictures aren't terribly exciting:

However, I was able to record some audio clips with my mobile phone, so ask me if you want those.

All in all, I think it was one of the best concerts I've ever had the pleasure of attending, despite being at a crappy venue (didn't have a good experience at the Indoor Stadium with the Dream Theatre concert earlier this year). So yeah... it was a great experience, one that was long overdue, but better late than never, I believe.

did anyone get to see Coldplay after the show?

^ Don't think anyone got to meet the band members. The guy who was lining up in front of me said his friend saw Jonny though, before the show, not sure if it was true.

I thought an hour and about... 10 minutes wasn't enough. A bit the potong steam after having to wait for almost 2 hours like dungus and jakuns.

LOL agreed! And the music played before they came out was totally crappy ewww.

Gosh I got there around 3pm, so I waited like six hours before the show started :S. It was well worth the wait though. I found the Backstreet Boys bit quite amusing, Chris said Til Kingdom Come was about waiting for your favourite band to come and stuff, the crowd went "ahhhhhhh woooooo", the he continued saying the backstreet boys, everyone went "booooooo" lol. He was giggling as he said that, aww cute  We didn't get a "Jonny Boy" though, :(.

Yaahooo! Please to meet every fan here. I was there too. Came from Malaysia to watch CP perform! So happy they put "Yellow" as the third song rather than put it at the middle. As a result IMO, the energy level of the crowd was peak right from the start!

Hi guys!

Is anyone else suffering from horrible withdrawl symptoms? I feel like I have nothing to look forward to now :( I've been listening to them for the past two days. What a concert. . . Actually there was this girl in line a little behind me who met Chris at around 5pm, even got a picture with him! grrrr. We heard them do the sound check around 1pm so a few of us went and stood at the back stage entrance, but no sight  No more coldplay :(
