May 26, 200620 yr I've been practising on acoustic for a while now and I'm in the market for an electric. I'm not a hard rocker but I'm not a jazzy kind of player either. I'm looking for one kind of in the middle. And the price doesn't bother me.
May 27, 200620 yr A good 'ol fashioned stratocaster would be good to start off with. Try the squire standard series, or the Yamaha Pacificas (which are always overlooked, depite the fact theyre really good). Both of them are below the £200 mark. the strat is the most versatile kind of guitar...I use it to play everything from hard rock to jazz! It gives you something to find your voice on.
May 28, 200620 yr i have a 1972 tele thinline (same guitar johnny is using at the moment) i am in love with it! down side is that it casts aroun $700.

June 14, 200620 yr i've got a fender telecaster highway......that was just an amazing guitar=) that guitar costed around 1097$ in norway, but you don't have to pay that much if you are living in the USA
June 18, 200620 yr Yeh...I was looking at buying a highway1 tele. They seem to be a good trade off between the Mex's and the american's.
June 21, 200620 yr where i live the tele thinline is around $1000 or so. it is a great guitar though. i got a epi les paul. gets the job done.
July 8, 200619 yr My dad has a Fender Stratocaster, which can be found here: http://fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0101400752 It's one of the best feeling and sounding guitars that I've ever played. yes, go with a strat! I use one too, and it's made in mexico so it was a little cheaper than usual. Yet, it still has the same great sound and quality to it.
