People look better with clothes on?! :/

Featured Replies

i was thinking about what i heard someone say once .. that people look better with clothes on than they do naked?! is this true? :stunned:

what do you think?:D

maybe its that we're used to people wearing clothes and this is the normal thing to do. if people were to always be naked then would they look better?

or maybe looking better and being the normal thing are actually different and looking better if actually being naked, but it is considered more special because it doesn't happen in public?

this is an interesting question and i would absolutely adore your thoughts!

Yes, for me it's true. People look better wearing something (at least underwear) than being naked for the main reason that clothes hide their faults... or they aren't as much visible as if they were nuded. And moreover this feeds your imagination, 'cos when you see it all then it's not that interesting.

If people were always naked we'd get used to that fact and I presume we would accept somehow better the other's faults :)

well......... haha......... I guess it depends how good looking someone is .... but I think the average non-obese would look better naked........ cuz skin looks better.... it's just true (not a response to your post oenona, I'm not trying to argue against you)

the best looking clothes might be more interesting than skin, but I think skin looks better than 90% of outfits

no prob! I can understand other POW. ;)

If people looked better naked, than no one would wear lingerine or thongs and such.

So as you see, clothes can make you feel cool, sexy, comfy, etc.

Clothes on...i like clothes, I think clothes can say a lot about the persons personality and such...and in my opinion people look better with them then without. Yes, they can cover up things they're not comfortable with..but also it adds colour to the person.

Cuz if everyone were naked, then there'd be nothing to anticipate.

In my case I look better with clothes on, hahaha.

i think you are dead right. its just what we are used to. clothes do help create someone and make them look different from others but they also cause a prejudice against people ... which maybe isn't a good thing.

of course in a fantasy world people want to see others they fancy naked .. its just natural, maybe if all of us were always naked then it wouldn't be such a fascination. theres definitely two sides to the argument and its hard to judge :\

clothes on...

i think no matter how beautiful a persons body is, they will always be unsatisfied about something on it. I think people look better clothed coz they can hide the things they dont like, and show their best assets... and theres also the mistery thing... not showing something adds to the curiosityand interest and might make u want to see that other person naked even more...

and other than that... i think naked male bodies are quite funny with their hanging stuf...:blush::uhoh:

With clothes on. Take Chris Martin for example, he is a skinny lad who looks a bit of a turn off in his yoga position I've seen in the Coldplay section :uhoh: He's much better looking with clothes on definitely

that pic scarred me for life  . But anyway, I say clothes on! I don't like to show much and if people walked around naked it would freak me out! I think you should save you nakedness for someone you really like- then it would be OK to take it all off! :wink3:

definitely with their clothes on!

clothes can express so many different things, while a naked human being is just so ... boring. haha.

Well, If I were to venture a guess, I would vote for clothes on as well!!

/We humans need clothes for a lot of reasons - like, it gets c-c-cold! And one of the basic Greek loves is the Love of the Familiar. Plus, we're a lot like those birds of paradise!! Clothes are like feathers - adornment - for display!

And, without clothes, what fun would strip-tease be anyways???:hat:

Happy Trails!!

Keep Cool with Coldplay!!

total agreement.

eventually...after seeing everyone naked...it would become normal to see cellulite, stretch marks, ugly skin spots, scars, hair, flab, and other "disfigurations" ..

If there were no clothes, there would be nothing left to the imagination, like someone else already said...

But, and I'm old-fashioned here, if you've been waiting awile to see soemone naked, it can be very enjoyable, because any 'flaws' they may have are being shared with you and you alone...that intimacy is a special part of a relationship.

Most men will tell you they like a negligee or some other small bit of clothing...they'd rather have it implied at first than thrown in their face...at first...lol.

I guess nobody's perfect naked, so when you see your partner naked, or they see you, there is no more fear of being rejected...unless of course, they run screaming from the room...lol!!!

In a way though, it would be easier. We spend a ridiculous amount of time and money trying to keep up with fashion. We have to second-guess ourselves everytime we leave the house...if we were comfortable underneath our clothes, we'd be spared alot of self-esteem issues...and there'd be nothing to conquer. Rape stats would go down overnight...

I dunno, can't decide. Sorry for the long post!!!

ppl looks better with clothes on!!!!!!

I was watching a Seinfeld episode today and Jerry was making a joke about this: Once your naked thats it. Theres nothing more to do, nothing to adjust so he likes to wear a belt when he's naked and its even better if the belt has pockets! - That is extremely summarised.

Once you see a person nekked, you have to find other ways to discover one another...but that's Reilly's thread...lol.

I'd rather see complete stranger stay dressed!!

And then there's our parents & friends...OK, I've made up my mind! Clothes GOOOOOOOD!!! LOL!

lol yeah. and clothes also can define a person's style eg goths and punks and retro dressers. in my case stencil artists (clothes can be used as a canvas for art)

I completely agree...

(And I'm speechless :embarassed: )

Clothes! Although the human form is something beautiful, I just think people look better wearing clothes as it's like a personal expression with the personal decision of the clothes people choose to wear :nice:

But nakey men are indeed nice :sneaky:
