Ok, anyone post anything they've heard about the new album.

I've heard that it isn't going to sound like any of their stuff before. And also that it won't be out for a while. Who knows what's true and what's a lie these days...

I hope the rumors of metal, country, or rap aren't true. If it's like their Kid A, it will be okay.

All I've heard that I actually believe is that they feel they've done the 'Coldplay sound' and plan to go for something different.

 

Knowing Chris in interviews though, that could change with the weather...lol.

Maybe I just interpreted this wrong, but Radiohead was the band that released Kid A, not Coldplay. Not to sound snoody or anything.

I think Cold5 just meant this will be Coldplay's equivelant to Kid A...that they're at that point in their career. You don't sound snooty though...lol.

Please do me a favour and stop comparing them to Radiohead, their career or their albums.. Coldplay didn't have an Ok Computer, they had an X&Y, and the next album won't be a Kid A, it will be.. a Kid B :P

I wasn't comparing them musically to Radiohead, I was comparing the stages of their careers and Kid B is very funny.(sarcastic)

It could be a double album...Kid X & Kid Y!

I dont think so. OK Computer is a masterpiece, X&Y is a good album.

I think it's castles but it's unoficial.

I've only heard the same thing everybody else has, and that's this:

 

"fast, dark and heavy" and "with no pianos."

I kind of hope they do, because the pianos are my favorite part.
