What do listen to when you're sad...

Featured Replies

I tend to listen to sad music.. in the dark.. and in bed. Today however.. I'm at my computer... journaling.. in the dark.. and listening to Radiohead's Bullet Proof... on repeat, as I normally do when I am depressed.

limb by limb and tooth by tooth

tearing up inside of me

everyday every hour wish that i

was bullet proof.

wax me

mould me heat the pins

and stab them in you have turned me into this

just wish that it

was bullet proof.

so pay me money and take a shot

lead-fill

the hole in me

i could burst a million bubbles

all

surrogate

&

bullet proof.

Long December by Counting Crows. on repeat. it makes me sad jsut thinking about the song. but i love it.

at the moment I'm listening to 'marching bands of manhatten' by death cab for cutie over and over again...

Bulletproof usually does it for me too

for me too.....

I listen to coldplay usually, in the dark when I'm lying on my bed, they never fail to chear me up.

Ben Folds's Landed works pretty well, though I found that the chorus of Moby's Spiders gets me happy very very quickly.

bullet proof is a pretty song havent listened to it for ages.!

It depends. If i want to be cheered up then i'll put on something that makes me smile, maybe Coldplay cos they can always cheer me up or something with a more upbeat vibe. But sometimes when i'm feeling sad i just want to listen to something that reflects my mood - Amsterdam by Coldplay usually does it.

sometimes i listen to sad music ... that doesn't help but i can't stop myself from doing it ... but when i want to be cheered up i listen to some Nirvana or Metallica .. don't know why it helps but it surely does

Well, last night I went through... quite an ordeal. I literally "broke up" with four of my best friends who have been there since 6th grade, and one since elementry school.

For some reason, the only person I could listen to all night was Bob Dylan. I have no idea why, I guess it was quite liberating shouting the lyrics "How does it feel, to be on your own?"

Basically, if I'm depressed (which I haven't been in awhile now, thankfully), I'll put on an artist that I can just identify with, someone's voice to just calm me down. Before it's been U2, Coldplay, and recently the Libertines are always there for me. I've certainly never been betrayed or left by the wayside by my bands... It's a good feeling.

Sigur Ros - ( )

So, so good.
