How long have you been playing ? And what kind of instruments do you play ?

i've been playing one musical instrument or another for about 11 years i think. i started playing drums when i was 7, took up keyboard soon after that, and guitar at 13. i'd consider my main musical instrument to be the computer

Woow that sounds good, i started very late with music.

Well i got a little drumset for my birthday when i became 6 or 7, and i jammed sometimes with my dad.

Later when i was 11 i played keyboard for 3 years or so, and now (i'm 15) i play piano :)

Guitar since a short period, bass since a year and a halve or so. And drums are here also sometimes i drum a little.

^ whoa petra, i never realized how instrumentally talented you are. i can only play the piano but i've been off it for a few years.

Well i have the luck that we have the instruments in house :)

My dad is a bass and guitar virtious, i mean it he's just as good as Jimmy hendrix. And not because it's my dad, i will record someday something :)

 

And well I have to finish things :) And practice better, cause sometimes i don't want to practice, i play but i don't learn new stuff.

I have to build my discipline :)

i'm 18 now. i played percussion in middle school and high school, grades 6-12, and i can technically play bass but i don't own one. we should team up and record something!

A good idea for a thread...althgh i dont want to say too much

As for what to write songs about...I wanted avoid writing about love but it just seems to be what comes out lol

The lyrics are fairly negative as well...reflection of my love life really :( lol but a song as a whole can sometimes sound positive despite its negative meaning...

I use my Yamaha PSR2100 keyboard and some crappy mic...eagle something i think...its broken now really...well the head broke...in "I Was Wrong" I had a sock over it to try and soften the sounds lol! Unfortunately it didnt smell great! :P

 

For recording I used Cakewalk...but I guess thats not so important...

 

On stage I also use the RP80 effects pedal (mostly just delay/echo) on my voice for the intro to Yellow :D and also distortion for "Feeling Good" (Muse version)

 

Oh and I suppose I have a guitar lol Yamaha Pacifica I believe...its either crap or broken lol...I get a lot of noise now when not hitting any strings :S
