The Breakup

Featured Replies

I used the search engines and i searched by myself so i dont think there's a thread dedicated to this movie..

anyway, i watched it last night

i gotta say, it's not exactly what i expected.

the word "comedy" in its description for it being a "romantic comedy" is definetly out of place. The was nothing funny about that movie, except for vince vaughn's friend (i dont remember his name). And all the other funny parts were already shown in the trailer.

the whole move was simply exhausting. Who wants to watch 90 minutes of two ppl argueing and bickering and crying? That's just depressing.

and how can u call it romantic with an end like that??

i thought it was cool that they didnt go by the typical american kitch ending, but in this case it just made the movie suck even more. Youi just go out with the cinema with this horrible feeling inside

uck... horrible horrible movie!!!

when i watched the ads of the movie i didnt think that it would be that bad,....thanks for the warning

you're welcome

well u should give it a shot

but be ready for more of a drama movie than a comedy

ok i will...i dont really watch romantic stuff, they bore me to death

Well I enjoyed it because it was highly original.

The humour was in how the pair were acting towards one another (like children).

True - it was in no way an "out and out" comedy, but I preferred it that way, as it was more like a real-life situation, albeit with caricatures.

I thought Jennifer Aniston turned in an impressive performance, and I was very happy with the ending, as it left things "open".

It wasn't one of the best films I've ever seen or anything like that, but I felt it was worth going to see (unlike the vast majority of Hollywood movies nowadays).;)

I try to avoid trailers and previews wherever possible, too, as you're right that they often show the best bits of the film...........................................

yeah i think that too...

it's not like the best movie of all time but it's not the worst too...it's kinda average i guess...

i just thought that it's not well explained how suddenly Jennifer Aniston's character doesn't like him anymore...she spends the whole movie trying to get his attention and suddenly in the end she feels completly different

I felt this movie was average as well.

Enjoyable yes, for when you're bored like I was :D

i saw the movie this year. was average. neither good nor bad. i think seeing it with friends saved me from viewing it as a bad movie...

I really don't get why they announce it as a comedy. It's not a comedy.

I think the movie is boring... it's not that i hated it but I'm sure I won't see it again. I can't remember a really good scene or diologue.

Well they do this a lot. Independence Day wasn't billed as a comedy, but it was so stupidly hilarious, it should have been!;)

Well what happens is that she is so in love with him that she fails to realise how self-centred and selfish he is.

It takes a long time for the penny to drop (for both of them), and by the time he comes to his senses, he's already past "last-chance saloon" stage.;)
