[ There are Arab territories that Israel has occupied and still occupies by force. We insist on complete withdrawal from these territories, including Arab Jerusalem. ]

The Israeli leaders didn't say a word

What you say about it?

Well seeing as how Jerusalem IS a jewish city, they owned it over 3,000 years ago, they have a right to it

you guys would have gotten the almost all of the Gaza strip and West bank back, like 95% of it but your arab leaders turned down israel's offer for this.

so what do i say about this? the arabs dont want a palestine because they have turned it down.

So, if you want to use the reasoning who originallyowned the land is the rightful owners then the jews are the owners and israel has a right to exist.

Lets look at history

The Caaninites were the earliest people in the region of modern day israel, lebanon and a few others places. they founded many cities such as Jericho and Jerusalem. Those cities were conquered and alot of their land by the jews after leaving Egypt. other parts of the Caaninite lands were conquered by other groups of people invading their lands. eventually most were killed, but some survived and were sea traders and later founded the city of carthage which was later destroyed by rome, thus almost all Caaninites were killed off. so the only people around in the world today with the oldest claim to israel are the jews. and the jews were the only group people to have a nation on that land.

so no matter how you look at is israel has a right to exist, if you go by the oldest owners or the legal formation of it in 1948.

What about people who were born there? Don't they count?

They are named after the land not a race or ethic group. im a coloradian i was born in colorado but its a race or ethic group.

But should they be evicted and thrown out of their homes cos a bunch of American/French/British/Arab religious nuts claim that they owned the land first, a thousand/two hundred/forty years ago?

No, but since they DID own the land before them they have the right to it since the origonal owners, the caaninite are gone....so the next owner after them were the jews. so if the caaninites were around they'd be the ones who had the rightful claim to the land, but they are not so the next in line would be jews, the second owners of the land.

Lets just disagree on this issue. Before it starts getting silly

Do you diagree the jews owned the land or that by owning the land first its theirs by right?

That because people who share their religion owning the land first they have more right to it than folk who were born there.

That cos people who share their religion owning the land first they have more right to it than folk who were born there.

huh? sorry i didnt quite get your point there.

Do you diagree the jews owned the land or that by owning the land first its theirs by right?

I disagree with your belief that because people who share their religion owned the land first, they have more right to it than folk who were born there and have lived there for generations.

no no. im talking about the jews that are the ethtic group.

this isnt about religion but a ethic group who controlled the land way before anyone else on it did. my beleif isnt about the religion of judeaism but about the jewish people the ETHNIC group was there first, thus they were the ones who truly own the land.

you're getting this confused, you can be born a jew and not practice judeaism...im not talking about converts but the ethnic group jews.

you do understand being a jew can be a ethnic group and/or a religion? you can be a jew and be a christian..

you do understand being a jew can be a ethnic group and/or a religion? you can be a jew and be a christian..

If you're the son of a carpenter perhaps?

If you're the son of a carpenter perhaps?

oh my.

there are many jews out their that do not practice judeaism because they were BORN jewish and can never change that.

there are many jews out there that are a ethnic group not just a religion. so you can be a jew by ethnic but not practice judeaism. see what im saying or you could be a muslim by birth and practice judeaism....so the people im talking about are a group of people related to the israelites from thousands of year ago, they are the same ethnic group as them and the oldest one that owned the land.

WTF? How can a Christian person be a Jew??

Well if he was born jewish and his religion was christianity that would be possible. i know christian jews, they cant change the ethnic group they were born into but can be whatever religion they want.

Guess the one guys does not understand this.:dozey:

"However, many people who call themselves Jews do not believe in that religion at all! More than half of all Jews in Israel today call themselves "secular," and don't believe in G-d or any of the religious beliefs of Judaism. Half of all Jews in the United States don't belong to any synagogue. They may practice some of the rituals of Judaism and celebrate some of the holidays, but they don't think of these actions as religious activities."

Jews: A Race? A Historically-Inbred Ethnic Group? A Religion? Or All Three?

Are Jews a race? Yes...and no. Yes, they are people related by DNA or genes. But most anthropologists do not classify Jews as a race, or a subrace, since a) Ashkenazim Jews, i.e. most, Jews are a racial hybrid, and b) calling Jews anything other than a religion has been taboo since WWII. Further, that question "are Jews a race?" depends on the/your scientific definition of the word "race" [subspecies]. The term "ethnic group" is probably more accurate in describing the Jew, although "race" can also be used.

You lost the war, get over it.

If we were to follow your logic then most of Europe would be Italian, the middle-east would be Macedonian and Mexico would be ruled by the descendants of the Aztecs!

What's my logic?

Your logic is that since Israel was once ruled by the palastines then it has the automatic right to revert back.

If we used that logic then all of western europe belongs to Italy..

For the record i think they're should be both an Israel and Palastine, but you guys hate each other to much.
