The X Factor

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed how The X Factor has been using loads of Coldplay tunes as "background music" in the latest series?

On this evening's show they played "Gravity", "Fix You" and "In My Place"........................

:D

Same goes for Prem footie on Sky Sports.;)

Today I saw the end of a Smallville episode and the two main characters had sex the first time with "A Message" in the background :D

Hmmmmmmmmm....................I wonder what kind of "message" they were trying to send out!!:rolleyes:

Haha :P

It was just nice to hear that they used a different song than just the typical songs like "Fix You" that's being played on so many shows and films now..

Yeah, I'm starting to get sick of Fix You being played in a movie or tv show everytime someone dies or breaks up with someone... it makes it even more depressing...

but, the other day while Channel 1 (news station broadcasted to middle schools and highschool in the US) was showing a rememberance video of 9/11, they had Till Kingdom Come playing in the backround.

^ That's a great choice! I heard 'Fix You' playing a couple of times when there was talking about 9/11.. Of course it's a beautiful, sad song, but if it's used too often and for every sad occasion, it gets tiring..

@ FluMTonks: I LOVE House, gosh, he's so hot in a very weird way :P

they used the hardest part last week i think

yeah, Till Kingdom Come seemed to go with everything they were showing. But the OMG a Coldplay song! Might have thrown the person who sat infront of me off... Living in NY, 9/11's really close to me, the fact they used a Coldplay song made we feel just a bit better about watching the clips they showed.... yes, yes, how sad, i know :)

@Flying Sparks: hehe, me too!

And on Sky's "The Match", they're using Keane......................

^ Today I saw football footage with the use of Keane's 'Crystal Ball' :P

On Vh1 and Mtv2 they play them a lot. Like, when they talk about celebrities. When someone does something good they'll play In My place, yellow or clocks. When it's sad they'll play the scientist and when someone does someting bad they'll play GPASUYF.
