I'm not insecure about nuffin', your welcome to your opinion, it's just that what you said makes absolutely no sense when talking about a band like Mew. If you'd have come here, said I'm listened to some of their stuff and don't like it, fine, fair enough. I'm sure it happens all the time, nobody gives a shit. But you came along and dismissed them as a band for teenagers and not given any justification to back this up, other than the fact you think they are mainstream, which they are far from being. This is a band in their thirties, who have been playing & writing together for over 12 years, in which time they've evolved several times, encompassing straight pop, serious rock, dreamy indie. They're not some pre-pubescent American garage band you know.

 

I'd be interested to know which Mew songs, if any you're actually heard.

Over time Kings of Leon slowly degenerated into a shit pop band that anyone can listen to, I didn't mean they are specifically for teenagers, just that they are easily accessible for people who don't normally listen to guitar bands

And that's a bad thing because???? Since when 'accessible' means 'shit'?? You think just like NME...>.> I've check out your last fm account and I saw you listen a lot to The Beatles. How do you describe their early stuff?? I would say personnally it's 'accessible' (and many of their last stuff are too), that doesn't mean it's shit or for teenagers ;)

 

 

They weren't what I was expecting, I listened to the pretty poor Apparatjik first, thought Mew would be more mellow and interesting, but they are just a band for teenagers who need something to get them into music, they fill the role of most kids of my generation going through a "pop-punk" stage.

You've clearly haven't listen to their work. What songs have you listened to?
