דנה אינטרנשיונל הוא שם הבמה של שרון כהן (נולדה כירון כהן ב-1972), זמרת ישראלית.

 

ירון כהן נולד בתל אביב. אף שמשפחתו הייתה ענייה, שלחה אותו אימו לשיעורי מוזיקה. כנער מתבגר בשנות ה-80 הושפע ירון רבות מאלילות זמר ישראליות ובינלאומיות שהיו פופולריות באותה תקופה, ביניהן מדונה ועופרה חזה. באותה תקופה נהג לפקוד מועדוני גייז בתל אביב, והגיע להכרה כי שאיפתו האמיתית היא להיות אישה וזמרת. עם הגיעו לגיל 18 הודיע על החלטתו להוריו, שלאחר הלם ראשוני כיבדו את החלטתו.

 

כהן החל להתפרנס מהופעות דראג עם חיקויים פרודיים של זמרות מפורסמות, וכשצבר די כסף נסע ללונדון שם ביצע ניתוח לשינוי מין. לאחר הניתוח אימץ את השם שרון, אך שרון נעשתה מוכרת יותר בשם הבמה שלה - דנה אינטרנשיונל, איתו רכשה פירסום והצלחה מקומית. במיוחד הצליחה עם השיר "אני לא יכולה בלעדייך" ובחידוש לשיר "ישנן בנות" של להקת הנח"ל.

דנה אינטרנשיונל באירוויזיון

השתתפה בקדם אירוויזיון 1995 עם השיר "לילה טוב אירופה" וסיימה במקום השני. ובשנת 1998 היא זכתה בתחרות האירוויזיון כשהופיעה כנציגת ישראל עם השיר דיווה שנכתב על ידי יואב גינאי והולחן על ידי צביקה פיק. כשנבחרה ועלתה לשיר את השיר הזוכה היא הייתה לבושה בשמלה שעיצב לה מעצב האופנה הצרפתי ז'אן פול גוטייה, אשר כללה חלק עליון המורכב מנוצות ציפורים צבעוניות וזכתה לכינוי "שמלת התוכי". הניצחון באירווזיון הפך אותה למייצגת בולטת של הקהילה ההומוסקסואלית ובייחוד קהילת הטרנסג'נדריות בישראל וברחבי אירופה. בליל הנצחון נערך אירוע שמחה ספונטני בכיכר רבין.

 

באוקטובר 2005 הוזמנה דנה להתמודד בתחרות היובל של האירווזיון עם השיר "דיווה" כאחד מעשרת השירים הטובים שלו (מתוך 14 השירים אשר הופיעו בגמר).

As I've said countless times before (but you seem to be having "comprehension" problems again) how each individual uses this board is up to them and has nothing to do with anyone else.
