I noticed yesterday that there was a strong following of Werder Bremen fans here, so im starting this thread so you can discuss Werders upcoming matches in the Champions league and Bundesliga!

 

The Grun und WeiB impressively motored past Borussia Monchengladbach to slip into second place!! now that we seem to be getting our form, we get to go kick the CRAP OUT OF LEVSKI SOFIA AND THEN GET REVENGE ON CHELSEA!!!

Did you watch Werder-Gladbach? Bremen did a very good job and we climbed up to 3. This Bundesliga season is so crazy. The're only 6 points difference between the 1st and the 18th team and 4 teams have 10 points at the top. I hope it will be an exciting season.

Haha, best game I've seen this season! Werder did a very good job, I'm so proud of my favourite team. :nice: The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic! Diego's and Womé's goals were unbelievable!

Did you ever watch indoor football on DSF? I guess no! It's a highlight every winter. The atmosphere is just amazing! You're so near to the players and may at least talk with them. I twice visited a big tournament in Oldenburg and it was incredible. It's so funny, especially when the last minute of every game is approaching. In Germany it's really popular, I don't know if you have indoor football in UK.

God, I'm still speechless after yesterday's Bundesliga match between Werder Bremen and Alemania Aachen. One of the best and exciting games I've ever seen. Now we're on the top of the table, at least for 24 hours... I nearly fell off my stool after Diego's goal! Definitely goal of the year!!! :nice:

Sure was a great comeback..we were unlucky to be down, for we didnt play badly at all. We looked great all game. 27 shots! Anyways im hopping Energie Cottbus can deliver a blow to Schalke 04 today and keep us on top of the table!!

Yesterday we've seen the last round of the current Bundesliga season and what else can I say? We "only" reached place 3, so we still have to qualify for the Champions League next season. But it was one of the most exciting rounds ever!

 

VfB Stuttgart became German champion yesterday after beating Energie Cottbus 2:1. For 8 minutes Schalke 04 was the new champion, but then the show of Thomas Hitzlsperger began with an astonishing goal! I'm so happy for Stuttgart, because they have the youngest team and no one thought that they would win the cup.

I also think that Arena did a perfect job, although it was only their first year of broadcasting the Bundesliga. I will never ever miss the "Konferenz" channel. ;)

very sad for me.....i dont know where it all went wrong...before the January break EVERYONE was willing to bet their money that Werder would not only win the league, but the Uefa cup.... Klose was not in form at all, too busy thinking about all those other teams instead of the one that needed him now...

 

now i have to say that i think he only stayed with us so that he can go to Bayern next year...:veryangry2: major loss in respect.

 

We need to hold onto Diego for at least one more season...and NOT let him go to REAL. ANYBODY BUT REAL MADRID PLEASE...

Omg, Diego is the best player ever! :D No surprise that after his Champions League match last Tuesday, Real Madrid wanted to buy him as soon as possible. But yesterday he renewed his contract in Bremen until 2011. :dance:

 

He scored again yesterday when Werder won 4:1 over Stuttgart. Unbelievable game, 4 goals after 15 minutes! :nice:

very excited about this season, and champions league campaign.....we have a HUGE amount of starters, including Frings and Borowski, who are still out....and some of them will be returning within the next couple of weeks...i think if we can play like that WITHOUT our internationals, how awesome will we play WITH them!?

 

Also, i think ALOT of people are underestimating our abilities in the Champions league because of Klose's departure.....BUT i think it will help us, Klose did NOTHING last year for our Champions League campaign....in fact he ended up HURTING us in the UEFA cup...now that teams will underestimate us, i think we have a very good shot at going through either equal with REAL or a close second.
