Airline data

AIR travel chaos was avoided yesterday after Europe and the United States clinched a deal on giving American police agencies easier access to personal data on transatlantic air passengers.

European airlines must pass on up to 34 items of data, including passenger addresses, telephone numbers and credit-card details., to be allowed to land at US airports. However, instead of accessing data directly from airlines, US authorities would have to request it.

I saw this news on tv and I was very impressed actually... I'd say concerned. Where are we going to? how much the goverments and secret american organizations need to know to keep feeding all this fear for terrorism on the world? heard the U.S. goverment wanted even information of sexual orientation and religion, fortunately this possibilities were denied by Europeans... just wow, this reminds me to the movie "V for Vendetta" in such a post-apocalyptic future with no freedom.

You think we're near the time when the system controls everything and everyone? that would be so sick...

Nope, nobody cares that their personal data is being sent ahead of themselves.
