What do you think the new song names will be on coldplay's 2008 album

Featured Replies

Me too' date=' dnt get me wrong I love X & Y, but here the thing u give somebody who has never heard of coldplay a parachutes album and an X & Y album and ask them if they r the same artist. Chances r the person would say no their not. I like coldplay for their unique melodies. U can listen to any rock song and none would never have melodies like Coldplay. Becos they dnt try and be like other people. But Chris already sed that the next album is goin 2 be dark with less piano and more electric sorry to tell u[/quote']

i hate when people kill the thread with their dumb comments saying chris martin is an asswhole.......i thought he was an ass from the ricky gervais thing when he sed he didnt trust black people, but it turned out that it was a joke so i have no beef

indeed that's a bad thing.

as far as I am concerned, I find no satisfaction in coming up with titles of Coldplay future songs. Seems pointless and a bit revealing. It's not like they'll be called that way, but still.

and it sounds like coldplay!

is it really coldplay? i would say yes - but i wanna be SURE!!!!!!!

Ā

Well I've never heard it, and i dont know how anyone could have got this track even if it was genuine. But two things convince me that its probably not Coldplay:

Ā

1. Rise and Fall is not one of the track names mentioned on the official Coldplay.com website.

2. It does sound like Coldplay, yes, but really that could be any of the hundreds of similar sounding artists out there.

Ā

I wouldn't get too excited about this like I just did (my heart was racing while i was listening to it despite my doubt of its validity). Sounds more like Thirteen Senses to me, but it certainly is interesting to ponder about. A nice little song aswell.

Well, first off. I've often commented to my brother that Coldplay doesn't have a truly distinct sound. I mean, if they had a single on the radio just now, Chris's vocals would be the only thing telling me it's coldplay. If you consider the huge difference betwen opening tracks don't panic, politik, and square one. Then there's trouble, daylight, til kingdom come, things I don't understand etc. etc.

I do think that the electric guitar seems like Jonny 2006-esque. But A. I don't think it's up to coldplay's standards as it seems to possess little direction and sounds like nothing but improv throughout. B. I don't believe for a minute that this song would've avoided our young eyes until this point; It hasn't appeared on any track list and I sincerely hope it doesn't end up on any album. C. Considering the million false alarms and hoaxes we've endured. I'm guessing who ever posted the video was merely mistaken and/or given some false information about the track. (I do remember wikipedia once mentioning something about an unheard coldplay track called "the rise and fall of man", but I think that, and this you-tube video were created out of sheer misunderstanding.

yes i know that its on any tracklist - otherwise i“d been sure!!..

i don“t remember how i found this track - think i youtubed coldplay and looked at every site of these 50 or something..

there someone posted.. let it look like coldplay if its not..

sorry for alarm but i posted it here cause i trust this site more than any other site else (only coldplay.com stands overthere..)

possible that someone knows!?!?!

thank you for your opinions!!!

how about "apple" he they already have a song called moses so APPLE seems most likely a b-side for the new album

yeah... apple... great idea... ive only found "apple" once in clocks.

Ā

but, i think they should make a song named "decade" since they have celebrated their 10th birthday

Tell

Ā

But it is the personal drama of Tell which forces him to participate in the uprising to lift the yolk of Austrian oppression. He is a modest huntsman, excelling all others as an oarsman and archer. In the first scene it is he who has the courage and skill to row a peasant safely across the lake during a storm in order to save him from capture by the troopers of Gessler, the viceroy of the Austrian emperor. In Act III, Tell is arrested for failing to salute the viceroy's cap and then ordered by Gessler to shoot an apple from the head of his son Walter. After doing so successfully, he admits that a second arrow, held in readiness, was meant for Gessler himself had he failed. He is taken into custody and ferried across the lake, but a storm rises, the boat is in danger, and Tell is called upon to steer it to safety. He escapes, and later in the mountain pass puts an arrow through Gessler's heart, thus freeing his countrymen from a tyrant and setting off a revolt which brings Swiss independence.

William Tell is an epic drama, somewhat comparable in structure to a Shakespear chronicle play. It tells the story of one of the earliest European struggles to establish a democratic government. In this panorama of 14th century history, Schiller has made the people as well as their legendary hero important protagonists in the struggle for basic human rights. The patriotic fervor and abhorrence of foreign oppression which Schiller has expressed in this last great drama of his career had had a special appeal to German nationalists. There is a timelessness in William Tell, moreover, for any people subjected to political and social injustice. It sounds a stirring call to freedom and dignity.
