Nige, things are going good although I'm pretty busy these days doing a laboratory practices and English lessons with a teacher who is from Manchester - but being honest I like what I'm doing!

haha, it's obvious that I'm catching your post count... you haven't been here for a long time and I used to be here quite often, so it's easier for me to overtake you! :P Anyway, I'm not here that much as I used to.

Me English teacher was from Manchester as well. He told me not to go to Liverpool, that was one of his worst advice ever haha. He was really nice and funny (but supported the wrong team). We all went to a pub with him and got drunk after our exams!

wow!!! what an odd teacher. I can't imagine myself going out with her and all my classmates to get drunk, honestly, though it'd be great (even though she is nice with us, f.e. she gave chocolates to us the day she turned 30!). She also give us an advice about Manchester: it's the place from UK where rains the most.

He wasn't a teacher in that way. He was only there to prepare us from them Cambridge exams... He was quite young, must have been about 24.

That's what everyone's saying about Manchester. I thought the weather was just weird, changing all the time.

She is preparing us for getting the First Certificate, as well, and she is one of the youngest teachers I've ever had (Im not refering only to English ones, but to all the teachers of any subject).

Yeah. Even Daryl (you know who he is, right?) told me he is missing rain, 'cos he is currently living here and y'know, here it usually doesn't rain.

Out of curiosity - what Cambridge exam did you do?

Yeah, I do know him. I'm sure it's all sunny and nice in Barca right now. I dont think I'd miss the rain but I didnt really mind it either.

I made the Advanced Certificate before I went to England.

Yeah, it's quite hot... even at night, we've warm temperatures. We still wear short-sleeved clothes 'cos otherwise, we'd sweat so much! :laugh4:

Did you find tough that exam?

Wow, that must be lovely. I'm freezing right now.

Erm some parts were others werent. The oral exam was easy but the grammar part was very difficult. But I thought the same when I wrote the First exam (just for practise) so it's probably just me.

oh, poor you!

I've heard it's quite difficult and that is really necessary to do a preparation course for these exams... 'cos they have their own style and it's good to be well-prepared! Anyway, I suppose it depends on the person.

True. Its not about your language skills really, you have to write what they want you to. Otherwise you'll fail even if your English is very good.
