i was just wondering about this.

 

my dad sometimes says or asks me things which make me wonder where he's been in the past 10 years. i mean seriously. there's people who have known me for a few days who probably know me better.

 

i mean he was reading some newspaper today and he found some job advertisment and asked me if i was interested and i seriously wondered why he asked me. i mean he maybe really wanted to help because i quit my job recently but still i think everyone who knows me a little couldnt imagine me being interested in that advert.

 

the same happened for example when i told him that i was going to work in england. i wanted to do this for ages and i did tell him before but when i said that i've got a job there and that i'm going in summer, he was totally shocked.

 

or when i look at the things i got for christmas. its like he hasnt realised that i've changed in recent years and that i'm not twelve anymore.

My parents barely know me. They think they do, but I hide a lot from them.

I think they know me as well as they are supposed to be....;)

 

heheh but that thing with your father.,....I guess that's pretty normal....I mean my parents are the same...there are things I tell my mum maybe 3 tímes and when I tell her the 4th time she shows the same reaction like at the 1st time....and then I say to her that I told her quite often.....and she just forgot it....because there are many things she has to care for..

LOL!!! My mother doesn't know me very well. It's funny what you said about Christmas gifts...one year she got me an irridescant, snot-green punch bowl, and this year she got me oven mits...they're really nice oven mits...but they're oven mits! Some years she chooses great gifts though, so I don't complain!:laugh3:

 

As far as taste in music, clothes...and pretty much life, she's clueless. You'd think they'd figure it out after 36 years,lol.:confused: :dozey:

My parents know me quate well , i mean they know what music i like and stuff , thought they sometimes forget band names and stuff but they've got a preatty clear idea of who am i , thought i do hide somethings from them well not like hide , but i just dont tell them , its nice to keep somethings just for you're self

thts true! i sometimes get the impression that they dont actually listen to me. well my mum does but my dad doesnt seem to care.

 

but its not the fact that they sometimes forget things that confuses me. its that he expects me to do things that i would never ever do, which sometimes makes me think that he hasnt got a clue who i am!

um haha my parents really have no clue about me. my dad's a little more clued in then my mom though, but we never really talk at all. just ask for rides and tell them where i'm going...even then i don't always tell the truth. but whatever.

i'm not having the greatest time with my mom right now, she keeps picking fights with me over the stupidest things...
