I don't really sare about Oscars. All I can say is that I was surprised to see Ryan Gosling in nominations... He's so young and all. But I like him, I really do, and I liked Half Nelson, so go Gosling, kick them all.

Not exactly a marquee year, eh?

I'm so happy that Little Miss Sunshine got nominations.

And Ryan Gosling :nice:

^ I agree!

I'm quite happy with the nominations, except for the best original song where 3 of them are from Dream Girls....:P

anywho...

what I'm really happy about is the nom for little Abigail Breslin for Little Miss Sunshine! I hope that she wins!! :D

^^So do I!! She's so adorable...I really hope she wins.

I watched a clip of Babel today at work (One of the Staff Sgts does the dodgy dvds), and it didn't look very good to be honest.

Maybe it's not my cup of Twinings Earl Grey.

I'M SO FREAKING HAPPY MARK WAHLBERG IS UP FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR.

ugh i hope he wins.

he deserves it.

he's like.. the hottest and best actor out there!

but if chris martin started acting.. that'd be a different story. :]]

GO MARK!

Helen Mirren is excellent as "The Queen". I saw it last night.;)

mark wahlberg nominated!!!! Wow, hope he wins! And will smith!!!

i want Kate Winslet to win!!! she's so so good!

and Will Smith too... Babel HAS to get an Oscar as well, its excellent!

i've been SO out of touch with films lately ... movies just haven't been on my agenda but this year i will catch some, more than my record of last year of 2.

i am thrilled ellen degeneres is hosting, she is hilarious, verrrrry good choice!

^ I second that Kathy! I used to be really into them but now, meh. I don't really care who wins. And yes, Ellen Degeneres is awesome!

Woohoo

Babel ought to get every Oscar that it's gotten nominated to. :D

You're right :P

*about cups

Babel isn't that good. I dunno why The Pursuit of Happyness hasn't been nominated.
