Now you know the sort of things someone with attention deficit disorder has to deal with 24/7.

mmm i felt it, sometimes, when i'm in class, i'm very concentrate but seems i'm not paying any attention, i'm thinking on my things, or on more information that i know about the topic the person is speaking me about, but surprisingly when someone ask me "what i'm telling you? you aren't paying attention" i remember what they were saying while i was "off" :o strange but true... i don't think is disorder attention... because i'm paying attention, to two thing at the same time.

even in those moments i come up and make an interesting question... a question that even the teachers surprise... them could be a bit weird but... it use to be questions like, while teachers are explaining a building and the activities we do there, i ask where exactly are the people located during those activities in the building, just curious questions... that help me to understand how the activity develops or how the building was used for... because most of the times when i'm "off" i'm picturing what the teacher is explaining me.. i mean i imagine the building, and the people acting there, like a theatre. :)

some other times i'm "off" because i'm working on a story and i take some notes on a paper.

does it's the same to you ren, or is something totally different?

I understand what you mean completely.

Is there something going on in your life that you can't stop thinking about, or is it just a case of your mind wandering.

If you're bored, try the ninja thing.

Ahh that happens to me too! Sometimes when someone talks to me i seem to be distracted and paying attention to something else or having this feeling i'm 'away' so the person who's talking to me says pretty much the same thing people say to you " hey, are you paying attention or what?" and i always say , yeah sure and they dont belive me but when they ask me what were they talking about, i tell them exactly what they said :stunned:

Of course its not always the same for everytime i get this feeling, sometimes i just get immersed in personal problems or sometimes there's no apparent reason and it always bugged me why i had this momentos , oh well.

Exactly! Something it's about a problem and sometime it's not, i think i just get immersed in my own thoughts and create like a barrier around me ,physically i'm there but i'm so not and its not like i'm a distracted person but it just happens, weird eh?

I'll check it out

my mind's always far far away...but that's not a good thing

at least not in my case.

it often leaves me off-guard for reality.

No can't say that I have..although sometimes it feels like I am being crushed by the weight of the world.

so the same as me.. i don't know what's the reason. :( I realised some weeks ago, that i'm "off" in class mostly when i'm bored, because the explanation that the teacher is giving and i already know it... and may be even more than what they say... at least it happens to me when i'm in a language class (english or french).. and while i'm off the teacher ask us what a word means, and i always have to answer, seems that my classmates don't know nothing, i just think they are too shy to say any mistake in class, 'cause of it i make some mistakes too.. well..

i wish i knew the reason, to can do something... i don't like it at all, because people can think i'm unpolite or something like that because seems i'm not paying any attention to them. :(

I'm the opposite... I smile and nod, sometimes I will say mmhmm or give a serious "I'm thinking" look. They think I'm a good listener, but I haven't heard half the words they said.

Then when I come back from wherever it was, I wonder what's going on because I'm in the middle of a conversation I wasn't interested in to begin with, and I have no idea what it's actually about anymore.

I completely understand. And I'm no stranger to Erin's world of ADD. But, just one request...

Did someone say club? :shocked2:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Yes they did...*thinks about starting new club*

Yeah, more clubs would be a bad thing...

As for the one proposed, would anyone who belongs in it actually get it done in the first place? :dozey:

 What you mean?

Well, if someone is going to try to make a thread for people with short attention spans could you actually expect them to focus long enough to... oh hey look... a quarter.

Nah i will not start one of those clubs...I'll start a underground metal club..where ppl can talk about the metal scene in their areas etc..
