The Nucks' have some major problems on their PP.

I know!! 3 for 50 or something like that in the playoffs and today they couldn't even score on TWO 5 on 3 advantages. That is just wrong.

  • Author

Yeah 2 man advantages are almost sure goals. They got their chances but Giguere was just outstanding. Especially in the last minute or so. But the 'Nucks aren't down and out yet, thats for sure. The Ducks are beatable.

Giguere had a fanstic game. Canucks need some screens, just like what Anaheim is doing to them. Crash the net! And how close was Daniel to scoring in the dying seconds!! Highway robbery my JS Giguere :P

Yeah I agree, they need to be more aggressive in front of Jiggy. You'll notice on all of Anaheims powerplays they will have 3 guys there wacking away at the puck as soon as it is on net. It would be nice for Vancouver to get Bieksa back soon.

Wow. The canuck players are dropping like flies!

Defenseman Kevin Bieksa participated in his first practice of the second round which including some contact work at the end of practice. Bieksa said he was "happy with his progress but it would take a miracle" for him to be in the lineup for Game 4.

Several players missed Monday's optional skate including defensemen Rory Fitzpatrick and Willie Mitchell. Mitchell is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday but Fitzpatrick is not.

Three forwards also skipped the skate: Jan Bulis, Jeff Cowan and Taylor Pyatt. Head Coach Alain Vignault said one of the three is doubtful to play against the Ducks in Game 4. Speculation is it will be Cowan who barely played the third period of Game 3. - TSN

Thats Matt Cooke,Ryan Kesler,Kevin Bieksa, Rory Fitzpatrick and one of the 3 up there. And all of them have important roles on the team. This is not looking good for the Canucks.

Wow, that is a lot of injured players. Hopefully they aren't out for too much longer.

p.s. Notice the NHL playoff thread is sooo much more popular than the NBA playoff thread? haha

Haha true. Basketball is a pretty boring sport, in my opinion. Only exciting parts are like the dying seconds of the game.Although I do love playing the sport :P

I just find where there are so many points being scored it isn't as interesting. Like with hockey and soccer, every goal is huge.

SAme here. I prefer low-scoring games...except the occasional one like the first Ottawa/Jersey game. That was entertaining. But I'd be disgusted if it went like that the whole series!

I missed all but the third period for the Devils-Sens game yesterday. I guess I didn't miss any goals haha.

Wow, the Sabres got ripped off tonight with the no-goal call on Briere.

Hah tell me about it. Obviously the puck was just about to cross the line when it disappeared, so it probably did keep going, you know, cause objects in motion keep moving in the same direction unless acted upon by a force. heh the guys in Toronto should have studied their physics!

We should be in like, 4OT right now instead of on our way home to Buffalo. Or up 3-1, that would be nice. I hope we can pull through this one.

Oh my god. The Canucks!! How do you lose a 2 goal lead in playoff hockey?!??!?! That is just crazy. They gave up and stopped playing. I feel sick now. :bigcry:

Yeah, blown lead wasn't too pretty. They just played 2 periods and that was it. I'm just glad the overtime ended fast since it was around 3 am here. 11:30 starts are too late for us on the East Coast.

I figured Ottawa in 5 this time around...but it would be soooooo amazing if they swept it. I'm living for tomorrow night's game.

EDIT: Oops. Forget I said that. I forgot they lost one, lol. Hard to think straight through this cold.

Vancouver will get eliminated tonight. Just can't stop Jiggy and the Ducks.

I'm going for the Ducks now all the way to the Cup. Sorry Nicole.

Ughh.. I don't understand. Vancouver Canucks are down in the series 3-1, they're playing the most laid back game ever. Shots are 13-37 for the Ducks going into the 3rd. Roberto Luongo is the Vancouver Canucks now. Too bad he can't score. This guy is making save after save and the players don't do a single damn thing about it. I'm surprise this guy hasn't got mad on his team yet. I would have flipped out and thrown my mask at them for being such useless players. No one is doing ANYTHING!!! If you need inspiration or atleast some sort of motivation, just take a look at Luongo. He is doing absolutely everything he can do and no one on his team is even helping him. This is pathetic hockey,Vancouver.

But I still Believe.
