Yeah, especially when you consider how big Truro isn't. :stunned: Naturally it's been the spin on all the news channels around here. Says alot about how random life can be I guess.

CBC usually portrays Truro as one of quaint those places where everybody knows each other. I don't know if that's true, but I can imagine it's devastating news to them. Random world it is.

Heh. There are many local towns I would call quaint. Truro isn't one of them. I don't live there, so I can't say anything for certain, but I would say it's not the sort of claustrophobic tight knit sort of place the media likes to portray. People seem to mind their own business from what I know. But when a place is small enough to be a town, knowing people is a bit inevitable.

It sounds like Kingston...half city, half town. I know the impact when someone from here died on Sept.11th. So I feel for Truro, and all the communities that are grieving.

Congress will probably try to increase gun restrictions, and will get vitoed. America need a new, tougher version of the Brady Bill, imo.

man i was just reading the newspaper (took me about an hour since pretty much half of it was on the shooting)

I HOPE EVERYONE'S OK!!! and NO ONE'S LOST ANY LOVED ONES :uhoh:

it didn't take long, it's aaaaaalllll over youtube and myspace.........

Gunman sent package to NBC News

‘This didn’t have to happen,’ says message mailed between shootings

Sometime after he killed two people in a Virginia university dormitory but before he slaughtered 30 more in a classroom building Monday morning, Cho Seung-Hui mailed NBC News a large package, including photographs and videos, lamenting that “this didn’t have to happen,” the network said Wednesday.

Cho, 23, a senior English major at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, killed 32 people in two attacks before taking his own life.

NBC News President Steve Capus said the network received the package in Wednesday morning’s mail delivery and immediately turned the materials over to FBI agents in New York. “NBC Nightly News” planned to air some of the material Wednesday night.

The package included a long, “rambling, manifesto-like statement embedded with a series of photographs,” Capus said. The material is “hard-to-follow ... disturbing, very disturbing — very angry, profanity-laced,” he said.

A COMBINATION OF THINGS I WROTE IN ANOTHER THREAD WHICH REALLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN THIS ONE. (I DIDN'T SEE THIS THREAD)

There's a huge attempt to make this terrible shooting about "laws".....when it really is a social/society/culture issue.

And you would think that people could work this out.....I mean it's obvious that this event still could have happened if guns were banned......I mean, the person (or persons) invloved in this thought it ok to kill 32 people.....that's the issue.

And besides the reasons why he wanted to do it....you have to think about this:

  1. A professor had warned University officials about his behaviour.
  2. 'One' (or was it just him?) guy chained multiple entrances shut a across a large building in a high-traffic time of day.
  3. Not a single person noticed or reported the above.
  4. 'One' guy fired almost 200 rounds of ammo (an E.R Doctor said that every victim was shot AT LEAST 3 times)
  5. Cops with assault rifles spent OVER TWO HOURS hiding behind trees and their cars while a gunman shoots up a school uninterrupted.

There were people who were aware of his behaviour - and police did let him get away with his spree for quite a long time. Just watch the cops on the video's....they do nothing.

This guy was on a mission.

I just don't want this to be used and turned into mass gun seizure in the US - it's a plan which has been put forward by the fake conservatives for a long time.

Columbine was a government engineered op...(in my honest opinion - and people, do NOT go mad unless you've looked at it, seriously)...and I don't see why this is any different...BUT...I guess lots of research is needed.....because not everything is the government......but many things are.

Anyway...I don't want to get too much into that here.

This thing is sad, whatever the cause.

Any bet there was some kind of federal hold put on the police etc....before they could do anything.

Just out listen for it, I'd bet a lot of money on this.

From a fellow investigator....

VT Killing Spree + 2 days and already the discrepancies are piling up...

1) It seems that it was the police who advised Cho to seek counselling after two women filed complaints that he was stalking them (end of 2005). Remember, we were previously told by Lucinda Roy, his English tutor, that she referred him there after reading disturbing assignments written by him.

2) The police said they advised counselling after receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be Cho's friend who said that he was suicidal. Yet all reports thus far have stated that Cho was a misanthropic recluse who wouldn't even speak to his own room mates. Both have had interviews aired and neither mentioned him seeking counselling let alone reporting him as suicidal to police. Who was Cho's concerned friend?

3) Under some pressure today from journalists, a Blacksburg police spokesman revealed that Cho had been assessed at a mental health facility. When pressed further whether he had ever been detained as a patient he stated he believed that he had and, when pressed further still, he said that the facility might have been in the city of St Albans. BUT...

He refused to give any referral, admission release dates etc, stating that this was 'protected information' (mental health care is shrouded in secrecy but this statement is misleading).

4) Crucially the police spokesman did not say whether it was the Cook Counselling Center at VT that had referred him for mental health assessment and still no one from the center has come forward to clarify whether Cho had visited them or not.

5) Within 36 hours of the shootings the police confirmed that ballistic tests had proved that the same Glock pistol had been used at the Amberley and Norris Hall crime scenes and that Cho's finger prints were found on the weapon. I am no expert in forensics but this seems an extraordinarily quick turn around. Yet...

Amazingly today, the police spokesman started to gently row back from the assertion that Cho was the Amberley house shooter and breathed new life into an earlier theory that the killings at Amberley and Norris could have been unrelated. But how can this be if the ballistics and fingerprints tests show that Cho was at both scenes?

6) A Taiwanese student reported that he heard Cho rowing with Emily Hilscher shortly before he shot her, thus becoming his first 'unofficial' victim. This source stated that Cho had a crush on her and that he might have become jealous as a result of her forming an attachment with someone else (other reports go further, but in the light of what we know about Cho and the note that he left behind, which made no mention of Hirschler, these are certainly baloney). Apparently, according to some reports, the police were informed of this in a 911 call. So why did they go looking for another suspect off campus?

7) As yet, no comprehensive reports about Cho's family or pre university life have surfaced. His high school has been preternaturally quiet. Is this because the media portrayal of Cho is not one they recognize?

My Theory

Cho may have had problems adapting to life in VT or had some emotional crisis. He probably visited the Cook Counselling Center. There, he either had the misfortune of falling into the hands of a 'spotter' or was genuinely referred to a mental health assessment center (in which case his department and personal tutor must have been informed) where the 'psychiatrists' took over.

The crucial thing here, of course, is the timing. My belief is that much of Cho's deranged literary efforts and probably the stalking episodes too was the product of prolonged and frequent post hypnotic suggestion.

He may also have been subjected to ECT and , who knows, at the time of the killings may have been dosed up with a powerful neuro-transmitter controlling agent (does IPSODAL really exist?).

It may emerge over the next few days that Cho's treatment did indeed pre date all of his aberrant behaviour described above.

*One only has to remember back to the UK police statements regarding Charles De Menezes, all manner of high level police officers wheeled before the worlds MSM, regalling us with, De Menezes sprinting and hurdling barriers, De Menezes failing to stop when ordered to, De Menezes having a long heavy overcoat with wires protruding from underneath and acting suspiciously. As we now know, after waiting years for the 'home run' inquiry, all that the police said was a pack of lies.*

FACT: We ARE lied to. So do your own research.

SO...

1. Shoot people

2. Make video.

3. Transfer to computer.

4. Burn disk.

5. Wrap package.

6. Go to post office.

7. Buy postage.

8. Put postage on package.

9. Mail package.

10. Shoot more people.

Your an idiot if your for banning guns... all it does is create a shooting fish in a barrel situation. Its like weed, its banned but if you want to get something bad enough a sicko is going to find a way to get it. If you ban guns noone will be able to stop mad people, and they could kill alot more than 32. I also dont think they should be passing out guns to every college student either, but allowing profs to have tazers and guns if they have the proper training and permits I think is a good idea.

Gazebo if you dare to defile anymore helpless victims with your insane posts I swear to god I hope you get struck dead by lightning. You have not only ranted on and on about how 9/11 and Pearl Harbor were inside jobs because of your own insecurities and the shit you get fed and choose to believe, but now you have crosssed the line by calling the Columbine tradgey a government job also and are now starting to spit your evil venom at this horrible Virginia Tech situation. There is no way in fucking hell this sicko has anything to do with our government and for you to say or even imply this is sheer words from the devil and from the same mad people who commit these acts. Do you not believe that there is no evil in this world? Do you not believe there are no mad people? Honestly I thought that for how twisted you were there was still hope, but now im starting to think not.

Your so fucking predictable gazebo. The instant after anything major happens in this world, you waste not a fucking second before you automaticly try anything you can to find SOMETHING SOMEWHERE thats somehow blames the government. Im positive that if potatoes started to not grow in the U.S. you would blame the government not 2 days later. Honestly you say so may times "were lied to" and all this keep your mind open bullshit when what that "were lied to" quote is really talking about is the media. Are you too stupid to know that the internet is media also? You have your blinders on hell bent for the government.

Prove to me it wasn't then?

Calm down there.

You seem to be all jittery, hot air and very little real information (and not just this time). Don't just spout out things that have no weight to them.....do you really think I can take you seriously? What you post can not be even compared to my posts (on an intellectual level - mine being far superior).....you just are all insults like "I hope you get struck dead by lightning", 'if you think this then you are a nut job' or that I should die - something along those lines.

Really, how silly. It's not very flattering, I must say. I'm sure you could somehow better yourself in this respect.

It is well documented that disturbing questions remain over the incident at Columbine. It is clear that authorities had prior knowledge of what was going to happen. Observers were in the area hours before the shooting took place. Articles from the Associated Press stated that ballistics from Columbine show that six of the thirteen victims were possibly shot and killed by Jefferson County SWAT.

In addition, it was never properly explained how Klebold and Harris were able to transport over 100 bombs into the school before the shootings began.

In the aftermath of Columbine there were calls for vastly increased gun control laws, more than 15 state legislatures passed significant gun control bills or dropped NRA-supported bills.

I'm not anti-gun - I don't want the U.S to lose the second amendment because it sets global precedents.

I'm doing some decent work/research of my own - I'm not led by the hand by anyone or anywhere, I take information from everywhere to get a picture of things.

Stop wasting your time calling me 'stupid', making jokes about potatoes and such - you have a criminal leadership, worry about that instead.

now now... lets all talk reasonably here.. ok.

I agree.. banning guns wouldn't have stopped this from happening. The guy was obviously very sick and disturbed and was screaming for help which by the way his parents haven't even responded to the masacre. I actually think this whole situation is sad all around. For the victims, and the gunman.

He was a very disturbed and lonely individual and the world as we can all see, is a cruel and unpredictable. I think the only way this might have been prevented is if he would have gotten the help he needed and so desperately silently cried out for........

banning guns would only be striking away yet another right we as Americans have to lose..... not that I like guns, or agree with them, but it is MY right to own one if I so choose.

meh, this whole thing is just so fucked up and sad.

ohhh and the record... its not certain if he compiled the video within the 2 hours of the killings... I think he had it planned and compiled from before, and he was just waiting for the day to execute....

Virginia gunman sent final video

_42819443_cho203ap.jpg_42820579_ap_memoria203.jpg_42820581_ap_praying203.jpg

The student who shot dead at least 30 people at Virginia Tech sent a package to the US TV network NBC News on the day of the shootings, police said.

The package contained "disturbing" photographs, video and writings, NBC said, posted from the college campus between the two rounds of killings.

Cho Seung-hui is shown pointing guns at the camera, and ranting angrily.

A total of 33 people, including the gunman himself, died in shootings at two locations on Monday.

"You had a hundred billion chances and ways to have avoided today," the 23-year-old gunman said angrily, in an excerpt shown on NBC Nightly News.

"But you decided to spill my blood. You forced me into a corner and gave me only one option. The decision was yours. Now you have blood on your hands that will never wash off," Cho said.

"I didn't have to do this. I could have left. I could have fled. But now I will no longer run," the gunman said.

Police have revealed that Cho was admitted to a mental health unit in late 2005.

He was sent for evaluation after two female students made complaints against him, they said.

'Very angry'

NBC said a time stamp on the package indicated it was sent in the two-hour interval between two killings in a dormitory and a second, massive round of killings in a classroom building.

The envelope, sent to NBC's headquarters in New York, was slightly misaddressed and carried the wrong postal zip code, which delayed its delivery by a day.

The TV network said the package was received in Wednesday morning's mail.

It contained an 1,800-word diatribe and 43 photos, 11 of them showing Cho aiming handguns at the camera. He also sent 28 video clips.

Head of NBC News Steve Capus said it had a "rambling, manifesto-like statement embedded with a series of photographs."

Mr Capus said the material was "hard-to-follow... disturbing, very disturbing - very angry, profanity-laced," but did not contain any images of Monday's shootings.

Student complaints

Two people were killed at the West Ambler Johnston Hall, a university dormitory, at 0715 on Monday.

Two hours later Cho killed 30 others, plus himself, at the Norris Hall complex across campus.

Authorities have not yet linked the 23-year-old to any of those he killed.

Police say the same gun was used at both locations but have not definitely proved that Cho was at West Ambler Johnston at the time of the shootings there.

The complaints by students against Cho were made in November and December 2005, around the time Cho's English teachers raised concerns over his writing and general behaviour.

In the aftermath of the shootings, teachers and fellow students have spoken of Cho's extreme moods, violent writings and unpredictable behaviour.

It's actually looking like this guy was under some kind of mind control....

You know, Derren Brown style, x10000

Remember that stunt "Zombie" by Derren Brown. (watch it here http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7688956389104405762)

It's like that....but real and obviously far more complex. Mix in Psychotropic drugs (which is always the case with these things, and he was also on these but without records made of it) and god knows what else. This thing ticks all the correct 'black op' boxes and there's gonna be far more info out on this soon.

Imagine someone like Derren Brown but an evil organisation, with unlimited money, ability to use drugs and god knows what else.

A CIA black op. sqaud.

It is also the fact that the cultural brainwashing of violent video games and psychotropic drugs directly contributed, as it does in all these cases.

And all of this just so further states to pass gun control laws........although it will probably work...and it IS needed if the globalists want to turn the US into a police state. And this stuff will be combined with all the recent UK gun stories over here.....so even more security releated laws can be passed here too.

Seriously, there info on this that you can't make up.....and it's all stuff I was guessing would come out. I'm almost pinching myself.

*goes back to info grabbing*

Shit. In the words of Thom Yorke "This is fucked up"

I'm not attacking anyone's views personally here, but is it really appropriat to be wishing death by lightning or anything else on another member of this forum? Even if it was a joke, it's not funny in light of recent events...especially in this thread.

Yes, thank you Tracie.

I discuss issues with many people - in my day to day life, online (via message boards etc..) and for the most part people act like adults - but there are always people (mostly online, where they can hide) who just jump down peoples throats at the first hint of anything they don't understand.

I mean, most times it doesn't really bother me personally - but it does become frustrating when serious issues get turned into rounds of personal attacks (and personal attacks alone) with no attempt AT ALL to bring the information into discussion.

I'm just glad that the Internet at least allows me or anyone to simply go somewhere else if you want a real discussion about complex issues that involve intricate details, where new information can be learned.

And also - like I said would happen.....

UK Police call for tougher gun crime laws

One of the UK's most senior police officers has called for new laws that would compel the public to give information to the police about gun crime - whether they want to or not.

AND....

We have been receiving numerous calls and e-mails alerting us to the fact that VA Tech is pulling links from its website concerning their relationship with the CIA. Reports from November 2005 confirm that the CIA was active in operating recruitment programs based out of VA Tech. Several professors from VA Tech are involved in government programs linked with NASA and other agencies.

190407killer.jpg

Wikipedia also pulled a bizarre recently taken photograph of Cho wearing a U.S. Marines uniform.

Such details only fan the flames of accusations that Cho could have been a Manchurian Candidate, a 'mind-controlled' assassin.

Hmmm, Interesting.

Inaction of Officials "Unfathomable"

Long-Term University Police Officer Alleges VA Tech Black Op

In an eye-opening spur-of-the-moment interview, done on the April 17 Alex Jones radio show, former “long-term” university police officer, George French, questioned why police did not immediately seal off the campus on the morning of the VA Tech shootings.

French has written on the subject of school attacks

in the past and possesses valuable experience in and knowledge of university police procedures and norms, lending credence to his comments given Tuesday.

Referring to various styles of campus layouts, including open campuses that have many access points, French stated that it is “routine practice at every campus to seal it off.”

“Setting up a series of roadblocks, controlling access to very large pieces of property, is very much routine on any university campus in Canada and in the United states.”

French continued: “after a double homicide, when you're looking for a dangerous fellow with a firearm, I find it unfathomable that a series of roadblocks weren't set up…to prevent the felon from escaping.”

“It's beyond belief,” French stated. “If you had a snowstorm, the whole education system can be shut down with a few phone calls.”

Maps of the VA Tech campus show that “a series of 12 or 15 road blocks” is all that would be needed, and should be implemented immediately by local police in the event of a shooting. However, this basic, standard response was not followed that morning.

Referring to numerous American university policy procedures and handbooks that he has personally read, French explained, “they have very serious plans in effect to use all county, state, and local law enforcement to come to the aid of the university.”

French cited another case, the Ecole Polytechnique Massacre in Montreal, where officers were “ordered not to intervene” and “told to wait outside…I think it was a black op then.”

In Blacksburg also, we saw police “cowering and hiding.”

Cautioning, that “we can only hypothesize at this point,” French could find no logical conclusion other than deliberate inaction on the part of officials. “We have another coordinated, allowed event…the parallels are so common in each case; you can write the script in advance.”

AND MORE...

Local authorities were told to take no action to pursue killer...

Police and EMT workers at Virginia Tech tell us that campus police were given a federal order to stand down and not pursue killer Cho Seung-Hui as Monday's bloodshed unfolded.

Though wishing to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, we have received calls from police and EMT's who tell us that a stand down order was in place, and this is also confirmed by eyewitness Matt Kazee, who is a student at VA Tech.

Kazee talked to local EMT's and police who told him the same thing, that the order was to wait until federal back up arrived before any action was taken. This explains the complete non-response of the police in the two hour gap between Cho's first two murders and the wider rampage that would follow later that morning.

The policy of federal control over the University was put in place following a

previous shooting in August 2006 in which a police officer and a hospital security guard were killed.

In addition, a former long-term University police officer, George French says that it is routine to seal off a campus on which a suspected gunman is loose.

“Setting up a series of roadblocks, controlling access to very large pieces of property, is very much routine on any university campus in Canada and in the United States,” said French.

“After a double homicide, when you’re looking for a dangerous fellow with a firearm, I find it unfathomable that a series of roadblocks weren’t set up…to prevent the felon from escaping.”

French could find no logical conclusion other than deliberate inaction on the part of officials. “We have another coordinated, allowed event…the parallels are so common in each case; you can write the script in advance.”

Small Corporate Media Lie Concerning VT

Massacre

Kurt Nimmo

Saturday April 21, 2007

Although it may seem like a small, insignificant detail, the fact the VT killings are not the “largest domestic massacre in US history,” as the media tells us, says a lot about not only the laziness and shoddiness of corporate media journalists, but also the urgency of the effort to spin and pass off lies as truth, blow things out of proportion, and generally fear-monger in an attempt to kill off the Second Amendment.

In 1927, in Bath Township, Michigan, school board member Andrew Kehoe, who was upset by a property tax that had been levied to fund the construction of a school building, blew up the Bath Consolidated School, killing 45 people and injuring 58, mostly grade school children. Like Cho Seung-Hui, Kehoe killed himself after accomplishing his dastardly deed. “As rescuers started gathering at the school, Kehoe drove up, stopped, and detonated a bomb inside his shrapnel-filled vehicle, killing himself and the school superintendent, and killing and injuring several others,” notes Wikipedia.

In a now established pattern, the corporate media is working closely with the government to build the official story, never mind the inconsistencies, glaring omissions, and plain stupid explanations we are expected to accept as fact. If the Bath School disaster demonstrates anything, it is that the corporate media will omit certain facts in an effort to push the official version of events, as they did on September 11, 2001 and the years since. Now, closing in on six years out from that event, to question the official version is considered by many in the corporate media to be a form of treason and disrespect for the dead. In likewise fashion, to question or not sympathize with the victims of the VT incident is considered a punishable offense, as Colorado student Max Karson discovered soon after the event.

It's a shame that the rampage happened, the boy was probably mental or something. But the real sad matter that it could have easily happened in an U.K. university campus.

Yes, but...there's loads of very strange things going on...as I posted above.

Like this picture for example.

1) The VT campus as a whole was not 'locked down' after the Hirschler & Clark slayings only Amberley Hall was.

2) It was widely reported that this lax security was due to the police interviewing Hirshler's boyfriend off campus.

3) More probably this was due to the FEDERAL AUTHORITIES that ordered Blacksburg police to stand down.

4) First reports on CBS News suggested that Cho's package was spotted in the NBC mailroom because it had been addressed with the wrong zip code. NBC then allegedly handed it over to the FBI.

5) However, when Cho's DVD was screened on Thursday, the FBI 'complained' that NBC had not given them sight of it and had not consulted them about it.

6) Blacksburg police abandoned a news conference on day of screening telling waiting media about revelations to be made later on NBC. The following day however Blacksburg protested that NBC had gone ahead without informing or consulting them either.

7) A female assistant (another anonymous, off the record briefing) at Blacksburg post office remembered Cho coming in with the package and having to look up the NBC Rockefeller zip code for him. Must have got it wrong then if the NBC mailroom report is to be believed.

viii) My hunch is that both the timestamp and Blacksburg postmark were probably forged. The package was probably securely delivered from a 'front' organisation in New York. The DVD and manifesto were too important to the exercise to be left to chance.

9) During the Amberley and Norris Hall hiatus Cho probably went to see his handler who would have assessed whether he was fit to continue with his mission. He would then have been given more ammo and other essential equipmemt (ie the chains) and incriminating evidence and sent on his way.

10) Cho was not mad. He had profound aphasia (a friend was later reported as saying that his manifesto speech was the first time that she had ever heard him utter a full sentence) and was diagnosed with autism at the age of eight ( a condition which impairs communication, understanding and interaction with social and physical reality - sufferers exist largely in a world of their imagination).

11) His autism was not revealed by official sources (though through his medical records they must have known about it) but rather informally and almost by accident by relatives living in South Korea. The official media, by and large, are still ignoring this information. And Cho's doctors, schools, VT staff and the Carilion behavioural unit appear equally as tight lipped. Why?

12) Because no autistic could carry out such an operation unprogrammed or unaided..
