RollingStone - 40 songs that changed the world - go to vote for Coldplay

Featured Replies

There is a song list in rolling stones of the 40 songs that changed the world http://www.rollingstoneextras.com/patron40songs/

I'm still thinking what Coldplay song add in there because i love all of them and i'n not good chosing.

But i don't know, maybe YELLOW is the perfect song because:

1. It is already a classic (well at least it is for me).

2. It is in their album debut, I think it is important all the acknowledgement they get in their debut.

3. And they allways play it in all the concerts, besides of the ballons stuff that is wonderful when you're there.

I belive It should be better if we agree with one song to give it strenght and to have more possibilities to put Coldplay in the final top40 list. This thing is in a message board, so i also think it would be better to oppen just one topic (name of the song - coldplay) and every of us go in there to give it support.

Well, any others songs suggestions and why? I'll wait for your answers. The final people list will be released on June 29th

THE POINT IS TO PUT COLDPLAY IN THAT LIST BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT (i'm sure we can do it)

I'd go with Yellow, as long as they get in the list it's cool, any song would be great, but they have said a few times that Yellow is special to them, as all of their songs are, but yeah I'd go with that.

Crikey I just noticed Britney is on that list, SURELY Coldplay have to get on it too lol.

are you sure the voting isn't over?

How should I vote?

I didn't figure it out either...

i think the voting may be over. i vaguely remember seeing the article in the 40th anneversary issue with the sparkly cover. and i remember being sad because coldplay wasnt on there.

but if i had to choose, id say yellow is ok but clocks is better. it had more airtime and turned them from into a smallish band with one real hit into a more credible, critically acclaimed band that could fill large venues. in my opinion it did, anyway, because even though i was young and stupid and didnt like music when it was popular, i couldnt escape that song.

You have to register and submit your comments... so let's start a Coldplay thread. Which song would be the one... I'm thinking that it would be Clocks, Yellow or Scientist?

So it's still opened? :)

Well, I'd vote for clocks...It's my most beloved song ever and I think that it's a pretty well-known one since Coldplay got bigger with arobtth...

I registered in the forum... but when I sent a thread it keeps coming up with an error so see if you can get in.

I'd go for Clocks too although for me Fix You is the best but I think Yellow, The Scientist are like the classics of coldplay bur Clocks is like everyone knows that one a lot of people have no idea who they are but if they listen the song they know inmediatly

The voting is over guys, sorry. The list is in the new 40th anniversary issue of rolling stone and unfortunately, no coldplay:cry:.

That is really funny and talk about that there is a lot of people with prejudice and/or that is always trying to look, i don't know what they try to look in this case, but they try.
