Justified Snooping?

Featured Replies

Ok, I won't bore you with the details, here's an overview:

-Girl likes boy

-Girl tells friend

-Friend tries to "help"

-Boy likes friend.

Ok. My friend eventually told me that he likes her instead of me, but she hasn't told me EVERYTHING. I know this because well, as dishonest as this might sound it's absolutetly true, I kind of keep stumbling upon bits and pieces of things she's keeping from me. Blame it on myspace. :dozey:

Anyway, the point of this thread: A door of oppurunity just burst open and part of me wants to seize this chance and finally find out the WHOLE truth. But a bigger part of me knows that this will only hurt me further but it will also betray one of my other friends trust if she finds out. :(

So yeah. What should I do? Have any of you experienced this? Are there times when snooping is justified???

Hm, I'm not sure about snooping, but I think you have all the right to find out the truth, even though it would hurt you in the end.

You see, I was in a similar situation twice so far. On both places, so ... I think you should talk to your friend and clear things between you, just to have the less bad feelings as possible. Though I do not doubt that your friend feels kinda bad as well.

sleep with the boy and don't tell your friend when she finds out say wasn't a secret just chose not to tell you like you did with me.

Nothing about this topic (I've never eyperienced this...) but:

I read your first post about the problem and always read "satisfied shopping" as the title instead of "justified snooping"...so I was a bit confused at first...I know this is totally unimportant and random....but typical me...what a coincidence that I could have written something about satisfied shopping...esp. today...

edit: I wrote something about the topic but it was silly

sorry:embarassed:

Ok you guys, seriouslyyyyy, need some help.

Ok, I snooped :\ but thank God my search came up empty.

My friend is still not telling me the truth. I HATE drama and I don't really like confronting people, i'm not assertive at all. Part of me wants to wait till her conscience wears her down and she finally tells me, but part of me wants to be like, "Look here! I know, Ok?! You don't have to sneak around me anymore."

She can have him! :dozey:

Help me. :bigcry:

I think you can just say to your friend that you know and that she should just tell you the truth. if she refuses you can give the old, "If you were really my friend, you would tell me" bit. you can say this to her nicely, not in a mean way. If you are nice she will probably be more likely to tell you the truth.

.... and have bad conscience. Let her know what you feel, but don't sound desperate, because that's not going to solve the problem..

Whatever happens, regular friends usually last a lot longer than boyfriends...

If it was me, I would just want to talk and move on. But of course, I don't know everything because it isn't me.
