Pirates Of The Carribbean 3 : At The World's End

Featured Replies

did anybody had watched this film? i had watched it last week.. for me its funny but about view moments of their act are make me feel sleepy :dozey: hehehe..

I think lots of people here are already watch the movie.

You can read some of their comments in 'Rate the latest movie you've seen' thread.

For me, TPOC 3 is so hilarious!

It's quite long for a movie, but as far as I can remember I don't think there are any scene that can make me sleepy. :)

I love it!

The ending was a bit surprising for me.

Never thought it would be that way.

And it makes me wonder if there will be TPOC 4?

I know it's a trilogy, but who knows.

because i dont watched tpoc 1 and 2 already :D so i dont know what is that about.. and i got invited from my friend, so.. i dont want to refuse it :)

I didn't like it.

Nor did I hate it.

It was funny with some scenes, but acting was bad.

And if you ask me - they should've cut that wedding scene.

I didn't like it.

I didn't get into the story, and I guess that not seeing the 1st and the 2nd POTC didn't make it better...

So, that's why, after 20 mins of watching, I wanted to leave.

Some funny moments anyway. But that's all.

the first 2 are one of the worse movies ive EVER seen, and the 3rd wasnt any different... Orlando Bloom should stay away from making movies, and Keira is just as crap as he is.. the only good thing about it was Johnny depp, the only thing that made me watch the trilogy.. did anyone else sticked around to watch the 20 seconds scene after the credits? :P i raed about it in the internet and had to wait like 5 minutes after everyone was gone to watch it..

Will, I agree! Orlando and Keira made me just very very annoyed :dozey: I loved Johnny Depp's work especially in the first film. There was nothing new in the second one, though.

Haven't seen the third one yet, but I'm going to watch it soon, just out of curiousity.

Agree :D

As I've said - that damn wedding scene :\

going to see it when the furore dies down :)

so what we watching tonight then?

haha Ian:laugh3:

I already watched it. I thought it was sooooooooooooo long. There were also times where it was making me sleepy. I don't know if it was because it was raining or I didn't get enough sleep or simply the movie was boring me at times. There were some things I didn't understand though. Overall, yeah good movie. I liked the second one better though.

I watched this film's cast on Mtv when they were on Japan... Orlando Bloom's so cute :P

the only good thing about it was Johnny depp, the only thing that made me watch the trilogy..

That's my main reason too. :)

What scene, Will? I didn't know about that.

When the credits appeared, I went out of the studio right away, cause I need to go to the bathroom. It's a very long movie as you know. :D

I also didn't know about an extra scene... what was it about?

I liked this movie. It made me laugh but it also made me think more than an average movie would. My friend is one of those annoying people who keeps asking questions though and I think I may have enjoyed it a bit more without "Nadia, what's *insert question here*?" being whispered in my ear 5 - 10 times during the movie.

I don't really like how they ended it in a way that left it open for a fourth movie because it might tempt them to make another one and I think tree is a nice number - they should leave it at that.

The wedding scene was a bit cheesy but I wouldn't say that I want it completely cut out.

i want to watch several movies but spider man 3,pirates of carribean 3

anyway for keira knightley and johnny depp's acting skills..

Well you know Will Turner becomes the captain of the Flying Dutchman and can only get on land once every 10 years, so the scene starts after 10 years and Will's son is standing on a cliff singing some Pirates song and then his mum joins him and you see a green light and from far Will standing on the ship coming to see them after 10 years.. i was like awwwwwww :nice:

Awww... I wish I'd stayed behind for that! Now I have to wait for the dvd.

China censors 'cut' Pirates film

The image of Chow Yun-fat's character has been criticised

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End has been censored for Chinese cinema audiences, according to trade magazine Variety.

Some scenes with Hong Kong actor Chow Yun-fat - who plays Singapore pirate Captain Sao Feng - have been trimmed.

Variety quoted local media reports that said the cuts included Chow's recitation of a poem in Cantonese.

A Disney spokesman told Variety that audiences would see a Chinese version of the film.

He added there had been cuts, but did not elaborate.

Violence

On Chinese web forums, many people have criticised the film's image of Chow's character - who is bald, has long nails and is dressed in Qing dynasty style.

They have said it is the image of the Chinese in the eyes of Hollywood producers.

China Film Group, which distributes the film, initially said it had made no cuts, then declined to comment on a Beijing News report that it had cut scenes involving too much violence and horror, Variety said.

The report said the cuts make the film difficult to follow.

"The sudden debut of the captain confused the audience at the Beijing screening," the report said.

Variety reported that the cuts included Chow's reading of a poem by Tang dynasty poet Li Bai (701-762) called Guan Shan Yue (The Moon Shining Over the Mountain on the Border).

The previous instalment in the film franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest was banned by the Chinese film bureau because of scenes of cannibalism and ghosts.

Censors the Film Bureau of the State Administration of Film, Radio and Television were unavailable for comment.
