I'm sort of ill

And I'm getting nuts because of it. I'm in the middle of my finals and my ear hurts so much that i can't think of anything else. If it doesn't gett better soonish I guess I could ask for the delay of doing the exams but that would mean I'd have summer all f***ed up.

I know I might be overreacting and stuff, but right now there was a loud buzzing noise 'round my head. and it was either a fly or my ear. :sick2:

I'm sure you'll do your best. Exams may get people somewhat sick if they're not self-confident. You're not required to be the best student to go to the next class up or to get a degree, are you ? :) Cheer up !

hm, I do wish to pass them with excellence and be among those students who have between 30-34 points (they're then recognized and accepted at a banquet or something).

but the point is that I'm not even nervous. I perhaps will be tomorrow morning, but ... I've been studying this history since March and now I'm so fed up with it that I don't want to study it now. I guess I should read that chapter about Habsburg monarchy from 18th-19th century. And the fusion of Italian and German countries and such.

Oh, and I worry about history because I'm totally indifferent about it (the exam and the result, not the history itself) and I know I should study but I have NO motivation.

well i spent five hours revising today at school with my business studies teacher

oh it was fun

and buzzing in the ear sounds like tinitus

Theres an insect in your ear

If you scratch it won't dissappear

Its gonna itch and burn and sting

Wanna see what the scratching brings

Eglantine : Perhaps you're just tired of revising and eventually you know enough about the subjects you'll have at your exams. In that case, instead of keeping up revising till you get sick, it's better to rest up a while and, if necessary, to have a look again at those subjects. If you think you know enough now, just stop because you may be mixed up to force yourself revising. It's what i think. :stunned:

listen to some music and you'll be fine.

I had a really bad ear infection like that once. I was taking tons of painkillers and had to sleep with a fan on my ears were ringing so loud. When I finally went to the doctor, he put me on some really strong antibiotics the ear had gotten so bad.

Is the ear still buzzing? If it is, if you're having trouble hearing clearly out of that ear, or if it keeps hurting like that you really might want to get it checked out. Worst case scenario if it is an infection, your eardrum could burst- which would be bad.

I met a girl on holiday last year that has an ear infection that was so bad that since she had it she hasn't been able to even put her head underwater for more than like, 10 seconds before it gets infected again.

I mean, she has to shower as well cause she can't go in bath.

I'd go crazy if that happened to me.

It specially happens to kids that often have tough earhaches. After a while, the ear specialist has to put in one of their ear a small transparent tube called "parasynthesis" to cure their ear. They wear it a couple of years then it's ok.

Actually I have this small strip with antibiotics on it in my ear, so I guess it'll be better soon. It's just really annoying because I feel it and the ear is still itching and hurting. Yup, it's an ear infection ... but fortunately it's not buzzing anymore, that was just momentary.

Thanks to the parasynthesis, your ear infection will heal. You must not worry about it even though it must have been painful, i'm sure.

Thank you dear. =) It is a bit better, I don't feel it anymore. Just one more day and then it's out!

You're having it removed?:stunned:

ouch! Try massaging it with ice in a bag - don't keep it on the same place for a long time!!! And.. if you know what Turbogel is, use it. It smells bad, but it's great to heal such things! ;)

And merci, I hope you get better as well.
