Thinking Music

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, i need your opinion on something:

i've been feeling pretty down lately, and i was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions of songs that would suit my mood; songs that i could really ponder upon and reflect to (if that makes any sense).

cheers.

unfortunately looking at your signature i don't think you'd like my music... sorry

So songs that will make you feel better or what?

Mechanical Bride - Poor Boy

Poor Boy, Poor Boy....you're just not right

Poor Boy, Poor Boy....you hate your life

What can I say or do....

To change those gray eyes back to blue?

What exactly is wrong? Then we can pinpoint songs that'll work even better for you :)

These are just songs that make you feel good inside, well me, anyway:

Keane - Nothing In My Way (one to nod your head to)

Snow Patrol - How To Be Dead (not as depressing as the title suggests)

Travis - All I Wanna Do Is Rock

Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla (how's your Icelandic?!)

Coldplay - Yellow (goes without saying)

REM - Shiny Happy People

Puressence - This Feeling

Embrace - anything, they all have the happy, sing-a-long-ability that you need to feel better.

Nah, wollow for a bit.

My pictures of you.. I always liked that song.

Rootless tree by Damien Rice (The acoustic version) I love it! Also, then go

cp - the scientist

Hmmmmmmmmm that's all I can think of right now

Oh stone thrown! by turin brakes

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh taking me sailing againnn

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh taking me sailing againnnnnnnn

What about 'I Will Survive'?

Look for the original version. I know it's about ending a relationship, but just move your body to the beat and sing the lyrics out loud. I'm sure you will feel better. ;)

Oh, and 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen. Play it out loud till you can't hear anything else. This song can always cheer me up. :D

Agree. :)

How about Working Class Hero - Green Day?

As soon as your born they make you feel small,

By giving you no time instead of it all,

Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all,

A working class hero is something to be,

A working class hero is something to be.

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school,

They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool,

Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules,

A working class hero is something to be,

A working class hero is something to be.
