I have been living away from England for just under a year now.

I have a friend come and stay with me, I had been trying my best to take him to the best places, and introduce him to people that I know and that are my friends.

 

Everywhere we went he was not happy, he always seemed to want to go after 5 minutes, one difficulty is playing host another is having to apoligise for complete ingronce every time he has walked into somewhere and has no idea they might not even speak his lanauge. Showing me up in front of people that has took a while to get to know and to take me on as a friend.

 

Now he has gone of by himself in area where he has no idea what he is heading into.

 

I have learnt one lesson of this, the next time I have a mate over the may must not consider a trip to one of there own local sea resorts a forigen trip, as if and when do go abroad it would be like a space misson to them.

 

I have only 1 hope today, m mate gets back, and does not have a run in, with either a pick pocket, the mossos or anything else he might run into.

 

He has completly no idea where he is or where he is going..

No, you aren't wrong. Maybe between both of you aren't don't understand about something that maybe its only miss understanding...

i'm sorry but you're friend shouldn't go traveling if he expects everywhere to be like home. i think he was being very disrespectful to your friends.

God, Im sorry to hear that, Daryl! I know you were looking forward to being here with your mate. What did he expect from you (and bcn) ? I mean, when you go to another place with a friend of yours, you know beforehand that you'll have to adapt to some new things. And, at times, this is the magic of journeys, finding out new stuff and adapting yourself to it.

 

have you talked to him about that seriously? Maybe the best you could do is telling him the way you feel, that you dont feel comfortable with the way he's behaving with your friends...
