Hey, weren't you just talking about that?

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you notice something, and then you see it everywhere? Anyone had any particularly strange examples of that?

For example you get a new car, and then half the cars on the road seem to be the same type. Or people start constantly making references to the same type of bubblegum or something.

Right now, I'm being stalked by Belgium. Seriously, there are random Belgium references everywhere. It started with last week's Doctor Who special, where a paradox was going to rip a hole in the universe the exact size of Belgium. (3:10)

Next on House, (I think it was House) someone mentioned Belgium randomly. Then today there was a really bad pun about Belgian waffles. Just now I noticed a random pointless reference to Belgium in an article somewhere.

I mean, what? Why Belgium? No offence to anyone who lives there, it has absolutly nothing to do with the place. It's weird because of the incredible degree of randomness. I wonder how long it's going to go on for. And just how random it's going to get...

And does anyone remember what that gland in your head is called that makes this happen? I should know, but I can't think of it.

I'm being follow by guitarists everywhere;

Like today, I was talking to a friend of mine about his band "So when are you going to play live?" and one of my Coldplay-fan friends said "In 2003" (by the way, I didn't laugh, I was shocked, actaully)...

Then he says randomly "I get to play guitar"

Later today I was talking to my other friends and one of them randomly said "I can play guitar" and then I was in this music room and someone holding a guitar walked past the open door and waved...

:shifty: They're trying to kill me!

^ I know that feeling. When I started going to college there were random guitarists everywhere on campus. It was cool, but weirded me out a bit at first.

Turns out they were all part of a very popular elective music program... that I ended up taking, actually.

a friend of mine was beeing stalked by that Mandy song .... :uhoh:

And then that Barry Maniblow thread mysteriously appeared!!:stunned:

Oh geez yes, this happens to me all the time!! For example, when I decided to study anthropology at uni a few years back, it was suddenly anthro this and anthro that - in the news, in the papers, in books...:S and not only that, soon everyone and their uncle wanted to be an anthropology major too! Just weird.

And Erin, that thing with you and Belgium? Same with me and Denmark. Although, I do have some 'connection' seeing as my favorite band is Danish, and my brother is currently studying over there...but it's too freaky to be mere coincidence. Perhaps god is telling me that I need to get my masters in Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen?! Humm.

Happens with names too. Someone will mention a movie or book to me, that I'd NEVER heard of, then someone else will mention it to me the next day. What the heck.

And lol @ Jenn. :laugh4:

Yeah...jokes about ykw!

If that ones psychological, then it's more of a mass hallucination than an individual mind quirk...

...well, I suppose it depends on which individuals are being referred to...:P
